Yeah bro, that's what I'm doing on my phone. I don't have a PC.
steamdeck with emudeck on it is pretty awesome for this purpose if that's your thing. been playing random classic stuff on and off on mine since i got it a couple years ago and the experience is great. old games with modern qol like save states and mods plus the convenience of playing in bed or on the go or whatever. new OLED versions mean you can get the base lcd version (refurb or not) of the deck for pretty cheap now too. honestly can't reccomend enough for any emulation purposes.

Steamdeck is over rated... it has a great price point, and stuff, and also those steam controller style track pad things are cool.. it has a lot of issues... one of which is that it runs linux (steamOS is just linux) so there is a lot of issues with many older games. Also it is not exactly a powerful system. Go to steam and you constantly see "will not run on steamdeck" posts and there is a reason it has a compatibility list.

I'd recommend a lenovoGO or a AsusRog. They cost a little more but are so much more powerful it is kind of insane. I like the lenovo as it has the best screen and the largest screen by miles. These systems run windows and play anything. My lenovo is a better gameing system than my laptop lol.

If you are even remotely techy it is super easy to install a dule boot into one of the many gameing os builds around, like Batocera or w/e as well.

Life was wasted on you.
I like these suggestions, but I'm a console fan boy. You guys all make it sound like the obvious thing to do tho. Lolmao
You will not ever regret buying a PC, especially if you invest in it properly and get decent parts. I've been an avid PC and console gamer all my life. I love console gaming, but there are things that the PC can do that is just too good to pass up on. Emulation is definitely one of them. You also have access to pretty much every console (there are some exceptions) via emulation on PC. A phone can only emulate so much.

Look into it, my friend. If you need more information, DM me and we'll get you hooked up.

Also, to be clear, i was being a smartass last reply, but I am playing SH on my Galaxy, not just trying. I'm emulating on Duckstation. I also have a DS emulator on my phone. I used to also have a Super Nintendo through Gamecube emulator.

I know it's very limited compared to a PC, it's shitty in general. I've just never taken the plunge. Like I have my college laptop, ya know? And I haven't touched it in some years now. I hear you guys, tho. But at the same time, I might buy a PS1.

i looked into allys or whatever they're called too but the deck was a better fit for me. i pretty much only play emulated games on deck and never had any problems (outside of nintendo c&d-ing certain emulators), anything from my actual steam library is what my desktop is for. i did dual boot windows when i first got it but quickly moved off it as it wasn't doing anything i couldn't accomplish with steamOS. i think windows (or a windows handheld) is only worth it if you have gamepass which i don't. but if you do value playing gamepass stuff then dual booting or a non-steam handheld is probably the play.

Fuck, I can't believe I forgot Okami and Eternal Darkness. The profound shame I feel.
Okami legit got me through some dark times. The fact we're getting a new one genuinely has my heart a flutter.
I'm very excited as well, especially since Kamiya and some former Clover members are working on it. Might be time to replay the original again.

Speaking of games I need to play again, this Clover talk just reminded me that I forgot to add God Hand to my list.
