You're basing this off observation? I'm just wondering, seems hard to discern/control because auto-titan behavior differs heavily based on their surroundings and enemy actions, which is really sporadic and variable.
Basically I'm basing it off of how my titan works with it vs without it. I've ran a couple of games and a few scenarios came up, so my titan responded in these ways:
- Whenever there were multiple enemies, or whenever I assume my titan was being locked onto, it proceeded to move behind the nearest form of cover.
- Using the 3 round burst, my upgraded titan would land all 3 hits about 50% of the time and 2 hits the other 50%, compared to 2 and 1 hit from the unupgraded titan.
- When rodeoed, my titan would use electric smoke on occasion, but I've yet to see it do so to a cloaked enemy.
- My ordinance, the cluster bomb, would be fired (not always with precision) around the feet of the enemy titan, something I've began to do myself since it does wonders against auto-titans set to follow and it allows you to deny space. That, or it was firing at a pilot on the ground. Either way.
- Using the triple threat, my titan would use the vertical if the opponent was farther away, or the horizontal if closer.
- From what I've heard, its really effective when using the railgun and arc cannon.
As can be expected, the titan on auto isn't as good as one directly piloted, however for what its worth it takes the place of an average player with better aim but no dash button.
