The patch will change a lot
Obviously things will change, like I'm sure he won't have a 7f D1 that's +1 on block, but the cores of characters will not change. Like the regular characters, they change but Kenshi is launching for 30% from a full screen Teleflurry and Jax isn't getting + on block EX OH. Cyrax isn't gonna start shooting ice beams. Some things are clearly by design of characters, and adjustments are made around it. Being able to cancel into Chainsaw Rip on block strings will not change, and the move itself is a MB move not an EX move. That is by design. The blockstun is BIG on block not just the frames. Whatever changes happen won't make this 50/50 unsafe or non hit confirmable in this variation which is imo the best variation of his. By design, when you cancel into Rip on block you have to block and punish his attack, full combo punish his unblockable, or guess wrong and eat damage. This makes the 50/50 safe on block because he can always simply cancel Rip into pressure of you hesitate, or you can read it and poke but he can block or D1 you. Design.
The Butcher Bop seems like it's intended to be safe because the EX is full combo punishable with armor. Seems very likely to stay the same or very similar. Some of LF strings leave enough time to hit confirm so people who master the character will be able to hit confirm into safety or launch with meter. The Low option for sure you can hit confirm, while the OH you might have to risk an upfront EX. Seems by design also and makes sense.
Pretty Lady is the only variant that is just cleanly unsafe, with having to commit to launch on block risks.
It's not gonna be too funny when LF starts pressuring us in Killer. Book it.
