1. Faster than Kabal BUT.. no worries, this isnt MK9. Characters can deal with it here.

2. Flash is a super Johnny Cage. Doomsday and batman also have awesome rush down and frame traps.

3. Batman is nearly the same. Only difference is a small damage reduction, and B+23 is -15 on block and the opponent can move before the bomb is planted and explodes.

I like to play a defensive footsies style, I don't like going on offense unless I have to. I'm very much a proponent of using LOTS of smoke away as smoke and general running away/controlling space as my opponent tries to approach me.

Which characters will best fit a cowardly, runaway playstyle that will most infuriate m2dave? I'm currently planning on playing Raven for her anti-zoning traits, but a turtle-based, runaway kind of character appeals to me even more. Any suggestions on who to go with?

from what i saw of ares, his teleport is rediculous, but his trait is like crazy. he can sommun a sword or axe, either above you opponent, below them or behind yourself, under one hit low, the over one is over head and the behind you throws either the sword or axe across screen. mix with the fast projectile i have seen in the game yet and you can turn invisible,AND his trait recovers fast. ares top 3, watch out people, you have been warned.

I dont believe so. If so, VERY small invincibility. I havent had a problem hitting them out of it.

Grundy can hang and he is scary when he gets in or knocks you down.

They are worth using but situational. I do think its an improvement from MK9.
