Word, I can easily make it there by 6 or 7. Are there consoles with the game already loaded and hotfixed on site as well? And do I need to bring a controller?

Yea they're locked and loaded with the games and controllers. I think you can bring your own pad/stick but I would bring it just to be sure

I asked on their Facebook page and they DO allow you to bring your own controllers, but we're playing on PS4 so you guys are just out of luck ;) just kidding haha we can play on either. I'll ask about the hotfix

I can now confirm that consoles are also internet connected with the latest patches/hotfixes. We're ready to roll!

I actually like the ps4 controllers for MKX ;-). It's just that damn Madden where I run into issues

Well guys, just got a call from my jackass boss that I'm expected to "cover" for him all weekend so he can go on some "personal business" so I guess I'm not going to be able to make it later today. Guess I'll see you guys at TG next weekend :mad:

I think in Sylacauga you'll pretty much be with the Birmingham/Hoover crowd (including @jaythatruth and @skrone I believe). As of about a month or two ago, people played weekly casuals on Thursday nights at Top Games in Gardendale but I can not confirm if the group still shows up. They're hosting a tournament on September 26th.

Alternatively, there's Press Start in Alabaster where I think we might TRY to develop a little bit of something. This scene is still looking for its happy home unfortunately.

I know that none of these are particularly close, but that's just the way our "scene" is right now. I'm in Gadsden so just about everything is an hour-hour and a half off from me. We're all still looking for the perfect venue to get our scene going in a way that is convenient for everyone that wants to participate but it's hard.

@jaythatruth Do you still want to go tonight? It's a bit of a drive, but I could still make it. If not, I'll go out and celebrate National Cheeseburger Day!

Eh, I have to go to a revealing party for my woman's sister on Sunday. How about we postpone this week, have the Top Games tournament next weekend, and we'll try to get something put together when (hopefully) more people from the scene will be there Saturday. I know there's more than the 4 of us, so we can get some bi-weekly meetups or something put together then.

Would have been nice to get some pre-tournament rounds in, but I think it'll be alright. We'll all get to surprise each other

Well.. I did take off for the 25th(Practice/Rest) and 26th, I believe the Tournament is that day. There is a high chance I will be there, unless the unpredictable happen. Can someone repost the link and stuff.

I'll probably check out the place Friday so I don't get lost.

LOL yeah, sounds about right to me. Makes me feel bad for homie. I'm hoping the information they put up is accurate, I'd hate to get there late because they posted the wrong time but I think it'll be fine

It's a 2 hour 15 min drive for me so I'll be leaving soon after I cook some breakfast in order to get there and play some casuals and get used to setups before registration begins. See you guys there.

It was the longest hour drive I've had in a while, but I have arrived lol pretty much nothing going on so far.

I thought Google was leading me to the middle of nowhere

that was fun guys. I know it ended up being a mess with the scheduling, but I really hope you guys come up and play again. Usually people come down from Huntsville too but evidently they were all sick. Next month I'll be able to get there at the usual time and get the bracket going. I was on the verge of putting the game down before you guys came up. Getting to play with new people got me excited about the game again. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did. @Solo @MyronJ @JJV Phoenix
ps. demolition sonya is an asshole
