anyone who thinks staff d+1 needs to be changed should have there head examined. lets all NOT talk about changes and nerfs/ buffs to dick , he is perfectly fine where he is.

dick in beta had these things :
flying grayson was an overhead
staff spin MB was a wallbounce
staff spin was +20 on block

seriously people, lets leave him be. compared to these things in the beta, nobody should be talking about him being too good , or changing the functionality of his stances just because thats how they "should be"
 
Please god no nerfs for Nightwing, he is one of the more balanced characters in this game, top tier but not Supes crazy
Even though I main NW, ultimately I want this game balanced. The chip on staff spin is too much on block BUT if stuff like GL's LM range, Supes f23 pressure and other imbalanced things stay, why should we get nerfed amI right? That's my mentality.

You know what, lets have some of these buffs, and then people will see how big our dick can be

That's fine but one the nerf bat totem pole (which nerfs should be considered very carefully) Nightwing should be near the dirt

Are you guys really having a discussion about Nightwing remaining the same and what should happen to him?
Injustice allows players to easily escape pressure with the risk of being read and punished, the defensive player has enough options to get NW off him/her. Nightwing's pressure is fine, his D1's do like 0.1% chip or something like that. It's not like he'll chip out people like that, he needs to hit people in order to win. The opponent can get out at the right moment, some can even get a combo going if they read correctly.

He is a balanced high tier character, reminds me of Skarlet in MK.
He doesn't deserve buffs or nerfs, so can we stop with this and find some new tech with him?

We need to find more mix-ups with him in Staff mode, I've started using Stance change into Flipkick MB to get some damage going with a combo that puts them back in the corner. Since you can cancel into specials almost immediately when going from Staff to Escrima they hardly see it coming. I feel like there could be some cross-up stuff with his Flying Grayson with certain setups, it has happened by accident with me but I haven't found a way to set it up consistently.

i have actually had some instances where grayson kick has crossed up some of the guys i have played. havent been able to make it something consistent, usually involves the ducking randomly trying to stand and getting clipped in the back of the head

Playing around in training again and noticed something interesting. I was messing with ...2, Flying Grayson and depending how long you delay the Flying Grayson, the opp. will get knocked down and you're right next to him in d1 range( it can be teched). For the most part, it seems to be pretty inconsistent as you have to delay the FG enough to where it connects as the opponent hits the ground.
 
What do you guys think of the new tier list? NW is now among the gods. I think that's pretty inaccurate as NW has glaring flaws on either stance. He doesn't feel like other S-tier who dominates most of their match-ups. I feel like him and Catwoman don't belong there but hey maybe it's cause I haven't face a NW who knows what he's doing. Good NWs are a pretty rare bunch.
 
How is this community's tier list made? Is it really done by the top players like Brady and Reo or is it a community effort similar to how it is on srk?

Pretty much just the top players. If casual players dissent, the top players will accuse them of being "uneducated scrubs" or other such nonsense, and a billion fanboys will "like" the post, confirming the infallibility of the top players in question.

Nightwing never truly struggled against Deathstroke players. I don't understand their reasoning for upping us for that.

The changes to Cyborg did make that match more tolerable. I played a couple games against the Cyborg I lost to in tournament a couple weeks back and did notably better. Granted I've improved as a player, but it really didn't feel as uphill as I recalled.

What they don't mention is how much we struggle in the Batman and Superman matchups. I find myself just waiting for them to make a mistake. No one makes my lack for AA more painful than ji2man.
 
Not sure if this known or not but if you land a U3 in the corner you can get a neutral jump crossover. If you wait a little longer it wont crossup but it looks like it will. Something similar happens after flip kick but it always crosses up.

Hey guys, just joined the forum so I guess you could call this my debut post. I recently dropped Bats for Dick and was trying to up my game with him. My biggest question right now is what are some good blockstrings to use in escrima stance? I have a few tricks I use online for mixups - 1,1,2 xx (db3 or db2); 1,1,3 xx (db3 or db2); f2,1,3 xx (db3 or db2) just to name a few. The thing I've noticed however is that against certain characters, the db3 has the tendency to whiff on occasion, which usually leads to a punish. I like using it because it has a crossover property on certain blockstrings and not on others, so it's insanely good for mixups, especially at the somewhat noobish level I play at, so I'd like to maintain the use of the move if at all possible, but is there something I'm doing wrong that could cause it to whiff, or is it simply because of the hitboxes of the characters that would have this effect? Also, what blockstrings do you guys tend to use in escrima stance?

His overall best strings are forward 2 1 3, and back 11, and down 12, imo the go to pokes are forward 213 and down 12 and should be focused on the most, and to answer your question, I forget if there was a list of what down back 3 crosses up on certain opponents on certain strings

Also tbh honest his best overall attack is back 2, thing has god like range and combos for another hard knock down for more mix up shenanigans, oh and welcome to the dick army
