Mr. Fury + Whoever's the best between Hwoarang, Jack, Kuma and Heihachi.

Heihachi is undoubtedly the best out of the characters you listed, but he is a Mishima and with that comes a higher execution curve.

I also want to try out Hwoarang. Damn I'm excited

Very true, but if I pull the trigger on this and pick up my first Tekken since 3, I figure it's best to go hard or go home, no?

What I love about this game is that it's gonna be balanced to the point where if you use a low tier character(s), you'll have a hell of an easier time winning against higher tier chars than MK for example. What matters more IMO is team synergy, and having a strong point character that you're comfortable with

Eh, still early stages, who knows what crazy tech will be found in the future and with 50+ characters it's pretty likely that it won't be the most balanced game ever.

Pretty sure you can save your position too, it looks like one of the most godlike training modes ever.

Yeah, probably. Since this game has been out for a year in arcades they'll have toned down the really powerful shit so it'll at least be more balanced at launch, hopefully.

That's a pretty brave assumption, but given how balanced BR was I suppose it's not completely unrealistic.
