Tekken 7 General Discussion Thread - OP Updated With All Tekken Info

villainous monk

Terrible times breed terrible things, my lord.
Easy now. Easy.

Just a few more hours... Just a few more hours ;)
Sir... That's was mean. Well delivered & acceptable.

I have my 2 hours left in my lay over then a 6 hour drive up back to Kitchener. Post trip fuel. A Pissing on the tire. 10 min drive home. Shower & beer at the same time. Then Tekken.

About under 9 hours to go.

9 hours. 9 long long long hours.

So my game finally came in! But I had to delete capture stuff and like 3 games to get tekken to install. These mandatory installs really take their toll

Bryan can wait for his laugh to come out after his rage drive, then do charged fF3 screw into dash in iWS3,4 then end with enhanced Mach breaker. Does 85 damage. If you don't want to risk dropping the combo at the beginning you can still get 81 with just the regular fF2 ender and going for the fF3 charged screw right away.

Played. Little and fell in love with the complexity can't wait to learn Tekken.
I'm interested in the long journey, and the experiences that will bring. As I type this, I'm trying not to think of any goals, or end states, or how good I want to eventually be.

I will say that looking at your main character in Injustice 2, and then choosing one in Tekken is quite a difference.

Atrocitus has what? 12 strings, Max?

Leo's movelist in Tag 2 consisted of 91 entries.

NINETY-ONE Different Moves and Combos. That's quite a difference. and "complex" is definitely the word.

Anyone else having trouble getting matches in ranked? In the past 10 mins I been matched with 20 different players and it keeps saying "connection to player has been lost" or something when i accept.

Works for the most part fine for me.

Anyone got any advice on how I should approach adding moves to my gameplay? Once I have some basic pokes and combos where do I go next?

For instance LC has some back turn stuff and kind of stance thing.

If I have a move that gives me the opponent's back, how do I make sure my follow-up works?

The best way to add moves to your gameplay is to understand what its uses are. Once you know why you should use a move you be able to recognize times when it would be good to use it.

I was wondering if there is a certain group of moves I should learn first based on those situations. EX: learn how to handle sidesteps first. Tighter wallcarry, then counter hit setups. If that made any sense.

How come? I like using it to have an easy way to ask for matches or just pop a question.

EDIT: fixed the discord link. https://discord.gg/fEGwQbD
Having to find out if peoples are online for games and instant messaging while gaming is great, its just that I feel that nearly everything ends up on there which I think should be better suited to forums.

Is there a list of console changes yet?

I believe Paul's deathfist got a slight damage nerf (64 -> 60)
@JJvercetti
I am not on there right now but I will check asap.

Its character dependent (wall carry etc) so depending on who you play, learn basics, best punishes, best combos for different oki, wall splats and so on. Once you got that its time to grind match ups, which is something im doing right now and its hella fun.

The new FC d/f 2:1 (Phoenix Bone Breaker) seems to be weaker than the FC d/f 2,1 of old as well.

I guess these are the prices we pay for a vastly improved QCF 3 and better DB2.
