More power to him I guess... but I was grossly embarrassed by his behaviour and disgusted at the way it shammed our entire scene among the FGC as well as the professional arms of the eSports corporations. The entire "I'm a heel and I do not care, deal with me" isn't admirable it is just arrogant and narcissistic. I'd be happy to never hear from him again.. but also despite his deplorable behaviour It isn't like I really give a shit about him one way or another. Would I prefer him not be in summit... sure... but whatevs... gratz to him I guess.. but he is just a player I have zero interest in. I guess I have someone to actively root against when I see him on stream.

Kind of like Collingwood in the footy... I want them to loose, sometimes more than I want my team to win, and there is a difference. (Aussies will know what I am talking about!)

 

I mean am not blaming them for hating on tweedy and not wanting him in, the guy is unlikable to say the least. But going full passive aggressive about it with the whole "super duper secret summit chat" shit like a group of massive bitches is a fucking disgrace. Sonic was gonna get in Waz, KP, Bio and Rye, then send Semiiij and Rewind to the two qualifiers since I have the hardest time vs them. He's not scared, but if I get 2nd or 3rd and lose to him, I still get like 5-10k. The best way to shit on me was to keep me out, and I have this exact information from two different, LEGIT sources. One of them leaked me all the accurate summit info I gave. I'm a wack job but one thing I don't do is lie and give inaccurate info.

KP giving the whole "we don't cry about it we just work hard and move forward", shit in his video, while knowing Sonic was gonna put him in(screenshots have been shown now), is some of the scummiest shit I've seen in this community. I had people who aren't well off helping me, and i'm sure he did too. Not a good look trying to get votes and make me look bad with deceit.

Because if that is the case, it means this game and this franchise that I love and have a great fucking deal of my personal emotion and motivation invested in is coming right out of the competitive gate with a broiling scandal. And I don't care if you've got a bad reputation or not or you're the Floyd Mayweather of NRS, you're one of the best there is by a fucking lot, and such a scandal shouldn't be swept under the rug.

This is the kind of shit that guys like James MK have been warning us about since ESports became the name of the game...and I say this as someone who has KP in his book FOREVER as a personal and competitive inspiration (he was my vote), so this is not at all a sleight against him at fucking all...but when you have the elite openly rigging the system against someone else, that is a big, big problem.

If I were an abrasive but hella talented player who was purposely and openly being kept down by the already established "top tier," it'd be fuck you to the lot of them every time I turned on a mic or got in front of a crowd. I'm not saying that tweedy isn't at fault in some of this. he fucked up with stuff like the chef comments and he's owned up to that. but the reaction from the community was way overblown. also this all started because tweedy thought he was better then some of the guys that got invited and talked shit which shouldn't really be that big of a deal. we're a competitive community and trash talk is something that just comes with that weather or not it's an esport, regular sport, or a chess tournament. How is tweedy saying that he's better then chris g at nrs games (which lets be honest he is) this horrible toxic thing to do.

 

I don't know all I've seen from some big FGC/NRS people lately has just given me a bad taste in my mouth and it wouldn't be surprising if the gatekeeping isn't going on more and in other FGC scenes than what Tweedy exposed. also the fact that a lot of the people involved are either ignorant to how shitty they're being or in denial is just super messed up.

I liked your post for the first part.

I'm not gonna stop not caring. I'm not doing anything that bad imo. Not committing any crimes or being racist or hating on women or anything like that. I think me being real is what made people who do like me, go above and beyond for 14k votes. As far as a sponsor goes, stay tuned. I think the be like Abe Lincoln in public advice is a load of shit. I'll work it out. Maybe I won't tho, we'll see.

Yet in this instance, I would argue that he is the victim of Sonic Fox's conspiracy to keep him out of the tournament in favor of his friends, who, with all due respect, cannot match Tweedy's abilities as a fighting game player.

We can respectfully disagree, but if there is one thing all of us can agree on, these controversies are going to make for some delicious drama in tournaments unlike one that we have not seen since the old Mortal Kombat 9 days. I cannot wait! LOL.

I have always been one of the biggest sonicfox fans because i always held him on a pedestal above petty shit like this, and i am now so fucking furious at how naive i was. Pretty sure it was Llumiya who who brought up those comments Chris G made and not Tweedy. Tweedy, from what I gather, more or less called him a bum and said he didn't deserve a spot over guys like Rewind, Semiij and himself. His opinion, nothing foul there.
