A fat woman came into the shoe store today...
Seems like, in vids I've seen of the select screen, that Arctic Trap is not part of the three main variations. At least in this build.

I hope it's not doomed to only be available in the garbage mode of the game.

Wouldn't be too surprising if they gave Frost the ice clone instead. Would definitely get a chuckle out of me.

It's been forever since I posted here.

I like that him and the other Asians actually look Asian again.

The animations look more like an actual martial artist came up with the moves. No more quarterback kungfu. I think I remember seeing something about Daniel Pesina doing mocap work for the game. His stance kinda reminds me of Kenshi's tai chi stance from MKDA MKD.

No Klone will be interesting but won't hold me back. Someone however got quite a few call-outs during the streams about the Klone.......

I wonder if with the whole timeline and alternate versions of characters is this Bi-Han? He doesn't have Klone, he got back Ice Puddle, I didn't notice his scar, he seems to have some sort of Sub-Saibot moves.
Pesina is a practicioner of Wing Tsun (I think) and he did the mocap from MK1.

If they put in the Arctic Trap there as base power, then it'd be similar to Captain Cold's as OKI setup.

BTW, now that you say that about him being Sub-Saibot, I think it'd be indeed the original Bi-Han. Problem is... Who's the Noob Saibot there? His future self? Only Liang got this scar.

It is better this way
It’s Kuai Liang, he is Sub-Zero as he is in almost every game. Outside of mytholigies(lol) and MK1, he is THE Sub-Zero.

Also I’d like to say that the klone being gone is a good thing overall.
1) he won’t have to have his base normals and frame data neutered like in MKX. He might have stings that are fucking usable and staggerable. B12 was minus 6, F4 had 38 recovery frames if I remember correctly. Without the klone, they can give him a more solid foundation.
2) He will be more fun to play with more creative specials.
3) People will finally shut the fuck up about klone

Tried play/pausing the video when the person was randomly running through sub's move list and this is the important stuff I saw:

Standing 1 is 8 frames, +1 on block
Down 1 is 6 frames, -9 on block
Standing 2 is 8 frames, +1 on block
Down 2 is 10 frames
Down 3 is 9 frames, -5 on block
Down 4 is 11 frames, -9 on block

Wakeups:
U+2 is 11 frames, -9 on block
U+3 is 10 frames, -7 on block

12 is 9 frames startup

the rest of the strings look slow af, 13+ and a bunch in the 20s

Rip down 4

Really wish this guy would do Frigid Storm from full screen because I want to see how it works.

About the hat... nah, still hate it. First thing I'm changing as soon as I get the game. lol

List of strings I could make out:

Chinese Ninja Warrior / 12

Kold Encounter / 124

Icy Grave / F14

Frozen Over / F143

Frozen Tundra / 21

New Threat / 212

Unchained / F21

Final Draw / B24

Below Freezing / 33

Permafrost / F32

Frosty / F321

There doesn't appear to be any returning strings from MKX.

It seems as if Slide and Ice Ball are his "default" moves.

Beso de Muerte + Fantasía Oscura
So no ice klone at all?
Also do low pokes combo like in Injustice?

No more Clone, but 16bit mentioned something about Orbs with similar mechanic but easier to deal with

Yes, pokes are special cancelables

Subby looks cool. Just wish however the Arctic Trap which is a glowing ball and functions basically the same as the Ice Clone...would actually be animated as the Ice Clone. Arctic Trap has long startup which seems fair. Him not having the Ice Clone just doesn't feel right otherwise, startup can be increased ofcourse.
