Well, I'm not saying that if you're good online that you're necessarily bad offline. Detroit is a good example of that, he started playing online, then went to tournaments. Hell, even REO started with online in UMK3. But, if you ask them now how they feel about online, I'm sure they'll tell you that it's awful and how much more fluid players they are offline. We all play online, but it's thought of as beneath offline casuals, since lag can affect combos, delay your inputs, and affect your game all together.

It just can't be compared to offline play, that's all that can be said. I've lost to people who do nothing but stomp with Sheeva online due to the unbearable lag.

Oh trust me on 8wr when mk was stillf resh and new. I would get bodied by the guys there, and they would then have a giant party about their online wins meaning anything.

As for the whole online comments. Online players can be good. Playing online is not good(in taking the ranking as any indication of....anything).

Also, MY GOD the competition in this video was so bad. No offense, dude, I really don't mean this to demean you, but for like 10 of the fights I'm skimming through your opponents make such basic decisions.

Not exactly criticism, but do watch out for a good Skarlet player using the F2, 1, 2, 1+2 string(you can see a preview of it at 1:19'ish, she starts the beginning part). Builds loads of meter, has an overhead in it, is safe(I believe), and can be special canceled(so a clever girl would go for Red Dash after).

Ask REO about the other 'competitors' for MLG, from what I heard, they all sucked horribly. Which I'm sure they did, considering that you can lag switch your way to the leader boards. If you're honestly offended about online play not being taken seriously, then you need a reality check. There's so many variables you cannot control online. In no way, shape or form does it compare to offline.

This is coming from a strictly online player, mind you. It's ass.

I liked those gun cancels into jump you did on Kabal. Even if they didn't work often it still messed with his mind. Nice reactions to Raiden teleports as well.

vs Noob: You should abuse wake up Roll Toss. You don't even need meter now, if anyone tries a meaty projectile on your wake up you can just blow though it with a normal roll toss.

vs Sonya: I don't like using breakers vs a lot of rushdown characters like Sonya, JC, Jax and Baraka. Reason is they don't necessarily go for big damaging combos. Even if Sonya is capable of doing 45% meterless, most of the times characters like that get their damage from small strings cancels and resets. You can keep them out with zoning so once they finally get in it's very tempting for them to press buttons and a lot of them. So that's why I find saving meter for EN moves and X-ray works best. There were at least 2 occasions where you could've landed an X-ray on that Sonya and that would've won you the match.

That Mileena was pretty bad lol. I've never seen a Mileena spam D3 instead of D4.

I like the one against Kabal... but I think you eat much blades for free... But in the end... you´re him sarge yet .

Vulcan told almost all I think to... but, forget one, that makes ou lose to Sonya... he tries to "raibow combat" , and you tried "no blood" codes. That was the problem .

Also, I hope you missed my games guys... Today and tomorrow i´m posting new ones.

Like promissed ( 1 second ago) here they are. I play with one of the best Kabal i ever seen... Although, it was a little laggy. But playable.

He made an awesome pressure in that one... and I tried to hold for X-ray... cost me more than a round. :S

@Marcus Well base on the 2 loses and 2 wins that you have posted I can say that you played that match up well. Man that was one tough kabal try not to jump so much, especially with the plethora of iAGBs. I think you should stay grounded and try to learn the pattern to anticipate with roll toss and gunshot or grenades. Another thing, try not to commit so much to B3,2 string. since you conditioned the opponent to expect the follow up overhead, you can do B3 into throw instead. Other than that i think you did really considering that kabal is a bad matchup for stryker.

The ermac bonus round, you didnt seem to try predicting what his next move was going to be and in the process you developed a gunshot followed by roll toss pattern. Even though people say that ermac is not great under pressure, i still think if he's playing you at full screen you should zone the hell out of him. force him to come to you by spamming gunshot and grenades.

I enjoyed watching all the matches...keep it up

Online doesn't matter? Then don't post in this thread then or make your own offline video match thread. I want to go to weds night fights but I don't know if I'll be in shape by then.

My internet is about 16mbps down and 1mbps up not great but its good enough to play people lagglessly normally. I use a wired connection for my PS3 and always change the level to Khans throne I play people in the 604 constantly and its lagless or nearly perfect. 50% of the time I can't change the map so more than likely your salty I beat you maybe on the Kratos or Street Level so when I 'ragequit' you nearly flip your tables even though you still get the win.

In spite if you timid online warriors I will still make a follow up video as I am far higher ranked than I was in the video. I am now nearing top 50 where in the video I am about 100.

Planning on getting #1 on XBL and PSN before MK10

The reason I made this video is just for general match porn. Whenever I want to learn a character I like something such as an hour of pure gameplay footage of the latest version of that character... is all this was meant to be.

Quality over quantity is a perfectly valid argument so I won't make another of these on PSN until I am at the top.

I don't care what anyone says. I was entertained when I watched this vid. (most of it).

What worth is there to having a high rank on psn or xbox? Do you win $? Will it get you laid? Clearly it doesn't garner you any bragging rights amongst the serious MK crowd (at least the test your might crowd). You have already gone out of your to spend $ on a hitbox to better your chances online. I just question your time investment vs. the reward.

Personally I'm not a big fan of ranked matches since you encounter so many scrubs in them. That said I'm not that good and my player match ratio is poor. But a lot of that has to do with the fact that I continue to play someone after they beat me so I can get better, generally they will have to quit before I do.

To me its like people who invest heavy amounts of time raiding in MMO's. In two years from now when you look back who is really going to care that you had a high rank in MK9 when MK11 is the new hot game out. So was the time investment of playing random scrubs over and over really worth it when you could have been having fun doing something else or playing challenging matches?

It would be another story if you were a professional player who is sponsored and gets paid to play the game. For those people I understand the massive time commitment they put into the game. But I don't think ranking high in online MK is going to fetch you much $ or attention. I'm not trying to troll you, I just think it's important for you to honestly consider your time investment vs. reward.

I understand what you're saying negativeone, but MMO's and fighting games are a different bag. You're comparing apples and oranges while also not even factoring why you'd do one or another. Raiding in MMOs can be purely for fun, and so can playing MK online. However, I do agree that him trying to get #1 ranked is utterly pointless. Is it for attention? Fame? Recognition? You'll get none of that online, so I don't see the point in striving for that.

Just go out to locals/tournaments if you really want any of that. Getting #1 ranked online is so meaningless. Not to degrade your video further(because honestly I already kind of talked down upon it, though I do appreciate the contribution), but I really just don't see the point like many have said.

Sorry, CareFoot. Don't take it the wrong way, continue doing what you're doing, but really, don't put so much weight into online ranking.
