I understand what you're saying negativeone, but MMO's and fighting games are a different bag. You're comparing apples and oranges while also not even factoring why you'd do one or another. Raiding in MMOs can be purely for fun, and so can playing MK online. However, I do agree that him trying to get #1 ranked is utterly pointless. Is it for attention? Fame? Recognition? You'll get none of that online, so I don't see the point in striving for that.

Just go out to locals/tournaments if you really want any of that. Getting #1 ranked online is so meaningless. Not to degrade your video further(because honestly I already kind of talked down upon it, though I do appreciate the contribution), but I really just don't see the point like many have said.

Sorry, CareFoot. Don't take it the wrong way, continue doing what you're doing, but really, don't put so much weight into online ranking.

Disagree utterly if I ever talk to NRS at any event and I'm the top ranked player on both consoles and making it out to events suddenly my opinion holds more weight than yours don't you think? Did we meet at PDP or Evolution this year?

I can turn too any other player at an offline event and we both suffer the same problems. We face the same bugs and tribulations if not more. The online warrior is not the road most traveled.

Before I recorded this, I got it down in less than five tries.

When I actually did record it...I got the combo on my first attempt.

Well mostly everything I know about Stryker, I learned by watching Vulcan's Stryker vids. Except, I'm not as good as him, so everything looks sloppy.

Nice stryker, considering it's online. Last time I tried to play Stryker online I just left the match with a giant headache. The lag makes it impossible to play him to his full potential. The standing 4 anti air is very hard to perform as is his b121 bnb and his standing 3 reset.

Are you capturing over HDMI or analogue cables, and what device are you capturing with? Can it stream as well or can it only capture video for viewing later? Looking too get a new capturing card so I can do HD. I primarily use a PS3 so it will need to probably need to be YcRc or whatever the HD analogue equivalent is too HDMI >.>

The tapes: Don't use Strykers uppercut so much I notice you wiffing it a lot and even if it does hit its got massive disadvantage on block use standing 4 with a dash first instead as if they block in time you will be + on block as opposed to -

Save the upptercut for crossup shenanigans

If you really need too move around the screen try not too use non-ex roll tosses from max screen your setting yourself up. Also double dashing is never good dash once if you need too but for traversing screen your better off just walking Stryker has an above average move speed. Also his back dash is regrettably avoidable at all costs.

Get out of the habit from using air to air kicks and start using punches so you can combo off it. (later in your Stryker career)

Also I just saw you guncancel into letting your opponent zone on you. Don't use gun cancels, they're a parlor trick. I saw Shujiynk kill himself with cancels on Mortal Mondays today too. Gun cancels suck. Yes they build meter but its easy too read, predicatable, scoutable but also pointless because even if you fail a gun attempt you get the meteter regardless and you get too skip the vunerable time during a dash where you cannot traverse the screen because you can caught inside a dash longer than the end of the gun animation.

dang! it's been a while since have been here. From the looks of it, it doesnt seem like we've gotten a lot of stryker players since the somewhat buffs. Anyway, Rampage254 nice video. Ive never seen anyone abusing baton sweep like you do which is a good thing you are always committing your opponent to block low when pressuring. Just make sure you mix it up a bit i.e. B3 into throw or EN baton Sweep (low, low, overhead) well maybe not the EN sweep...that could be a waste of meter. You are a rare stryker for sure, you dont do too many resets and you go for the 43% damage

BTW Carefoot buddy, how is it going? it's been a while mate. I disagree regarding your comment about gun cancel. If done correctly, you can really restrict the opponent from moving freely on the screen. you do it to bait and it is stryker's way of messing up the opponents mind. Of course you are going to do it against every char, but one thing for sure it is not useless.

I have to go now, but I will comment on some of the matchups later. Keep reppin' that stryker rampage he's looking like a beast.

I'm still here, I just don't post as much(nor play MK as frequently, haven't even touched my PS3 in a month) due to last couple weeks of the semester which led to finals and a new job all day on the weekends. Trust me you're wayyy better than me. And it will be good practice hehe. Mirror matches are the hardest in my opinion

Just shoot them it restricts them and builds meter faster even if they're blocking. Plus its safe on block too shoot people and shoot them close too! Its 26 vs 23 frames depending on how far you are gunshot is faster too hit up close.

I use grenade a lot more than gunshot now.
