@FL Rushdown I know I suck and let you disrespect almost every frame trap I have but you may not know Karins sweep into VTrigger is +4 now lol
I know. But uh you might not know that cr mp into st mp isn't a real thing on block. Also definitely don't know Urien f mp is minus 2 if it's not a meaty.@FL Rushdown I know I suck and let you disrespect almost every frame trap I have but you may not know Karins sweep into VTrigger is +4 now lol
Yeah I can parry any mediums after a cr mp. I just gotta guess high or low or just dp if I'm feeling cocky.@FL Rushdown She doesn't technically get anything guaranteed after cmp unless it's a meaty am I right? Yeah but, that follow up lol
I totally agree. It's like people putting Balrog up there.. I mean, Jesus. He can't do anything. No way to open people up. Can't do shit vs fireballs. Damage is weak af.. almost as bad as Karin's neutral. How people have urien anywhere near top 5 is beyond me. Complete shit walk speed and dash literally unsafe on everything. No way to setup throw mix ups, horrible buttons and can't just throw out buttons like most the cast. Horrible combo potential, no range on his lows and zero ways to get in. I don't even want to get started on how bad is options are for keeping people in the corner. On top of super gimmicky vtrigger with like 1 way to setup he is about as mid-tier as you can get.
Yeah he might scratch upper mid tier if his damage output was little better.I totally agree. It's like people putting Balrog up there.. I mean, Jesus. He can't do anything. No way to open people up. Can't do shit vs fireballs. Damage is weak af.. almost as bad as Karin's neutral.
Nah man, dropping people in makes the post more credible for some people.Interesting if it's true I guess, though her aesthetics are extremely boring.. her look is terrible, she looks like a damn background character. Super boring. However, if her playstyle is anything like that's mentioned that could be extra interesting if done right.
I do have to say, it is really shitty that that guy threw Art under the bus like that though. Damn. Could have at least omitted his name.
Can you or someone explain what a rekka is please?Backdash rekkas sound crazy.
When we call something a "rekka" it refers (usually) to a multipart, forward advancing special that will hit two, three of four times. Have you seen Balrog's dash punches when he's in Vtrigger? He charges forward and hits you and if you hit F+P (or kick) he will follow with the second hit, and third and so on. That is a type of rekka. Karin has them as well in Vtrigger when she dashes forward and does a little string of hits that you can control, after the initial hits you can continue with more hits, or in her case, go low, or high, or a non-comboing crossup, and so on.Can you or someone explain what a rekka is please?
Pick Cammy and use Medium Kick like Erron Black's neutral J1. Use it to bait and then counter.I don't feel I'm getting better at this game. I only lose. No exaggeration. Whether the player is good bad shitty laggy fucking anything I lose. I wanna stop playing just cause I'm flat out not having fun anymore.
That would serve as the perfect anti-shoryuken.Backdash rekkas sound crazy.
Thanks for the great explanation. I played ssf2 and I played fei long a couple of times, his qcf+p was a rekka then right since I believe you could do it up to 3 times? When we call something a "rekka" it refers (usually) to a multipart, forward advancing special that will hit two, three of four times. Yang in SFIV had a move where he slashes the air in front of him, QCF+P. You could combo that move by doing the same QCF+P motion again, and then again, causing him to slash three times in quick succession, all of them comboing, so if lands one, he lands them all. Fie Long has a similar move but he punches in front of him. Poison slashes with her whip, etc.
TYPICALLY, the properties of the Rekkas change depending on the number of hits. So, and this is just an example, the first hit of the rekka likely does little damage but might be safe. So if you throw it out, and see that it hits and your skilled enough to hit confirm it, you finish it for maximum damage.. But the second and third hits do more damage but are unsafe.. So if you mindlessly throw them out and they are blocked your opponent can punish you. Sometimes stopping after the second rekka might leave you really close to your opponent so you can go for a throw or something.. etc. USUALLY you find rekkas on characters meant to have a strong neutral game, and as I mentioned earlier, they usually advance forward varying distances.
