Ed said no more non-playable fights like MKX

And it's a shame. It's a nice way to cameo characters and they serve as filler so you get less repetition in story mode fights, which means less characters feeling like jobbers. But we can't have nice things because people stupidly assume that an NPC fight that's ripped from previous game is in a playable state.

You're really blind guys if you can't recognized Noob on the Fight tab.
It's more proof to me than the tower, because tower do not always mean playable.

I hope it's Rain to on the conquer tab (you doubting guys are making me almost unsure now ><),
and that he is playable.
When you think of it, all 4 playable ninjas could just be on the first 2 tabs.
After all MK is first about the ninjas.

Jade will play like Jade. Kronika might've manipulated her or something, but changing Jade completely into being but a mere host for Kronika is going to piss so many people off.

Personally, I'd be heavily disappointed if this was the case. Because then it could just as well not be Jade at all.

Baraka fans already got heavily shat on with that DLC tease, and then he was killed by Alien who got Baraka variation. As someone who felt like Kitana's Mournful variation was like NRS shitting down my throat, I truly felt for the Baraka fans back then.

Hopefully NRS won't pull something like this again.

If she is an unlockable character, would be NRS employee allowed to say "Yes, she is playable"? Imagine you. If you want to make a surprise party for your friend/relative, and he asks a week before "Will you make a surprise party on my birthday?", would you say yes? I still believe she is playable.

Noob aside (though I do think he'll be in), I am absolutely positive that is indeed Rain on the Konquer screen. If it's supposed to be Kotal then they've done a really shit/troll job, and it'd be weird as fuck to actually make him look like Rain.

I pray to the elder gods that he's in, but whether he is or he isn't, I'm like 85% sure that is supposed to be Rain on the tab.

I am in a mode like; be done with the roster, enjoy the best looking fighting game... if rain is in fujin is out, noob is in shang is out like things doesn't concerns me anymore.. a new mortal kombat game means a lot more than a character reveal. here is my final thoughts on the roster; if you ask me, you have to put Johnny Cage, Kitana and Shang Tsung first, then you have to check how many roster spots are left... 1, 2 or 0 i am not sure about it. that is where your hopes lies..

What I'd like to see is firm confirmation on Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung, and Kitana. If there are any more after them, that's just icing on the cake.

On the topic of Non-Playable NPC, my thought is that maybe they will have NPC's in Story Mode, but, unlike in MKX, they will be future DLC. And, of course, not all DLC would be just NPCs who appeared, but some outright surprises and the inevitable guest characters (Please NRS, give me Ash Williams).

Regarding Kronika, I'd be disappointed if she does end up being Non-Playable. I don't really believe that to be the case yet as it would break the trend of the Boss being playable that has been going for the past few NRS games now, but you can never be too certain.

The Kollector being a cyborg makes sense to me. That’s the only way it makes sense to me lol. If a humanoid used the name Kollector he would be a total goober.

A Kollector that uses scraps from the cyborgs, Kano or even Sonya/Jacqui would be cool in my book. Something new, a completely artificial intelligence no human parts or soul.

Okay so I have no idea about any of these leaks concerning the Kollector or whanot(though I may have heard it and forgot) but when I hear that name I'm picturing a Netherrealm necromancer who collects souls and whatnot and that Netherrealm "Church/Laboratory" stage we see would be his spot. He/she would help Liu Kang by creating new revenants and the like.

Yes in the background, Baraka is behind Sub, and Noob is behind Scorpion.

It's not the same having a tower where the assist attack is featured than having a premium tower themed after a character with special art. Usually on past games those towers are either towers where the character has to be picked or will appear as a summon (summons aren't the same as assists in I2). Noob Saibot is in the game for sure.

I think one thing fans need to come together on is a clear definition on what a BASE roster should be. Let’s face it the roster without dlc is usually between 25-30 characters every time.

The 3 who I believe should always be there Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden.

Then there’s the characters who have been in every game since MKvsDC

Liu Kang, Sonya, Kitana, Kano, Jax

That’s 8 already.

Then there’s a cast which MOST fans seem to think should always be there

Reptile, Mileena, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao

That’s 12. Now IF the kombat kids were also to return that’s 16. That’s over HALF the cast. That leaves us with at best 14 other roster spots to share with characters from MK3 onward as well as any new characters that may be added.

We need to start being realistic. SOMEBODY is going to have to sit out if we want MK3, 3D era, and now MKX newbies to get a shot. I say we set aside maybe 8 characters for EVERY GAME. The rest can be a mix.

I agree with you for the first 3, but everyone else can and should sit a game out once in a while. They get stale otherwise.

Absolutely. I’m saying the majority of the fanbase doesn’t though. That’s where the problem lies. I absolutely think a few of them could have had a break this game. I’m looking at you Kung lao.

In the thread, the user r00000r (you can click his posts specifically from the profile link) mentions a lot of things you also heard about. He includes CET being female, somewhat beasty and ending with an n, Frost being revamped, either Noob or Rain being in (he sometimes doesn't tell things 100% directly but keeps it vague, as in one of the two is in), as well as confirming the Kollector. Your information goes a bit further in some things (KOL= Cyborg), but it's a lot of the same notes. He definetely mentions these things about CET and Frost.

So what do you think? Does it add to your source's credibility because you and that dude heard the same things? Or is it possible that your source just got the things he/she told you from this thread? Would be incredibly sad, I want much of that to be true

Just now catching up, sorry guys. And no problem! Like I said it could all be BS but I wanted to share what I had heard anyway because several people have echoed similar things... but then again it could be a case of one person backing another to sound more legitimate lol. Here's a basic breakdown of what I heard from each person:

Person A:
All of the CET information
Frost being completely revamped

Person B (aka info dump guy):
Noob is 99 percent gonna be base roster, slight possibility of DLC. NRS proud of design.
Shang Tsung information, IE he is the biggest secret of MK11. Unspecified reason for why he's such a big deal.
Backed the CET info.
Anything else I'm forgetting?

Person C (small piece of info share, most trusted IMO):
The Kollector is a real character, and he is a completely new cyborg but isn't like what would expect from a cyborg character (ala Sektor and Cyrax). He knows more but didn't share that and didn't wanna violate his friend's trust nor get him in trouble. Hopefully he isn't mad I shared this tidbit but that is why I was trying to be careful... lol. Like I said, he does know more and if he wants to share it I would be thrilled to hear it but I don't wanna be a dick and harass the guy. He did also confirm that the Steam leak is 100% legitimate (which we figured as much). Also, his sauce has supposedly been correct before.

I ranked them in least reliable to most. Person A claimed they heard this stuff but didn't specify how, very well could be GF source lmao. Person B did a big info dump but has been quiet since, and he also told me how he found out which if true it's kinda shitty to jeopardize their job IMO. Person C I consider a friend and given he didn't even drop his details until other false leaks were spreading and said he probably shouldn't have mentioned that small detail itself, I believe him. He has never shared this info directly online on a public forum so that gives him even more credibility in my book.

I know some people are probably laughing at anyone believing leaks but just discussing what's out there and what may or may not be true isn't a matter of gullibility. I say take EVERYTHING with a pound of salt and if they end up coming to fruition then cool (I REALLY WANT NOOB AND A ROBOT GODDAMNIT).
