Didn't read thread comments and stopped on the OP right here-

1. Twitch streamers and YouTube channels were priority when sending these codes.

This is false. If a streamer or channel has a contact with WB or Netherrealm, they received a Beta Key in a different manner.
After reading #1, and knowing for a fact a specific streamer who told me they got their code directly from a NRS employee and did not even register for the beta, and they are saying "in a different manner" which is translation for "we gave it to them", so that's actually ok because they didn't prioritize them in a drawing they just gave it to them instead, then I'm calling it an end lol.

Happy posting.

I want to add that the person who made this statement isn't a NetherRealm or Warner Bros. employee. They are a community and "fan" moderator specifically for the forums. They are just someone who was given admin-status, that's it.

Unless they were given a statement by the companies, everything they said is most like not 100% true, and just assumptions or things they have "heard". This is supported by the fact that they said this:

"I'm going to do my best to address these concerns and criticisms in this thread."

They said "my best", which means that this is most likely a statement created by THEM. It seems that this statement is just nothing but damage control, and is pretty much saying "if you are upset about something regarding this beta, you have no right to be"

How about instead of damage controlling, they actually offer a statement that acknowledges our criticisms of the beta?

It's too laggy to poke...
Paulo said wave 1 had a karma indicator... Just saying...

Our impatience comes from yall stirring us up for days about the beta. Yall hype everyone up by design then purposely fall short of demand to leave everyone "still wanting more."

So with that said... Fuck you AnAngryGinger. Yall screwed this up and now we get a "you're being unreasonable" letter. We're being as unreasonable as you made us asshole.

At least this beta has a randomly-chosen pool to go along with it, but all the people saying they signed up 20 emails are likely ruining it for everybody else.
this is positive for sure but it's settling to 'better than nothing'
there's of course a number of ways to select people to enter the beta and a mail contest is too much open to the garbage people here is complaining to

if I were in any developer's shoes, I'd select people via PSN/XBL username AND ps+/live subscription

reading about people selling (or wanting to buy) something that should be free really makes me puke

"There is a huge spike in negative comments and threads in this forum. I'm going to do my best to address these concerns and criticisms in this thread.

This is false. If a streamer or channel has a contact with WB or Netherrealm, they received a Beta Key in a different manner. If you used the registration while it was open, you are no worse off than anyone else.
Injustice forums must be even saltier than ours lol. I find that them admitting this is actually a good thing. The backlash could have been avoided if this was explained from the get go. But i understand why they wouldn't want to disclose that people were handed the beta.

Wow, typical kind of awful public statement from NRS.

Just so everyone knows for next time, just spam their servers with your 50 plus e mails next time. They are totally cool randomly sending the same guy a bunch of codes on different email addresses, but you have to ask, if they really wanted to "spread codes out throughout the regions", that is a direct problem with the guys who have multiple codes giving the out and selling them to who ever. Their entire mission for this beta is flawed and their statement makes them seem extremely hypocritical.

And the crazy thing about this statement is that there is no accountability for the shit fest they started. The response to Injustice's closed beta were not typical, and that is not just a coincidence. We were literally just told what would be in the beta and "if you registered, just be patient for the email", as if you can certainly expect one.

Some guy named AngryGinger is speaking on behalf of NRS and WB on a damn web forum that most of their fans do not even visit. Where is Ed Boon? Paulo? Or even Dereck or Tyler? No one high up or exposed to the public was available? No care to set the record straight publically for this PR shit fest? The best response is "well you guys are being bad boys and I am gonna go tell you whut" to a bunch of customers and potential customers? They learned nothing from how they handled the MKX for PC nightmare and the netcode.

We want transparency and we want details when we are confused and angry like any other consumer base. Not some guy "telling it how it is" on a forum that people ignore for the most part.

Their apathy when it comes to fans is a bit concerning. It feels like they just try to please elite groups within the community and cater to them, while treating the whole as second class plebians.

"I respect and understand the status that players have gained through tournament results, supporting their game and helping develop others amongst their community. I believe NRS has a method to their "madness" and from first hand exp with the military the first beta wave is best explained by "rank having its privileges." It is what is and we just have to accept it."

I posted the above on 26 Jan and
I didn't post this initial thread trying to pour salt on the wounds of those that are part of #TeamNoCode
(considering I'm still part of the team) but posted it to spread awareness.

Holy entitlement batman. Does anyone know how many people signed up for the beta? Is there any way to know how many times each of these people signed up with different emails?
As soon as i saw you could sign up for the beta with as many emails as you wanted, I had a feeling it would cause a ripple of shit posts throughout the interwebs.

I feel like they could have sent out 30k beta keys so far and it wouldn't even equal 10% of the people who signed up. Partially due to ppl signing up multiple times, but mostly because there is likely a high volume of people who signed up for the beta in total.

My point is it's a closed beta, not everyone will get a key (open beta would be sweet though). The only reaction people should be having to not receiving a key should be "damn that's unlucky" not "this is bullshit".
That being said, the system is rigged, I signed up within 30 seconds of the registration going live, i should have MY key by now, I deserve it. NRS and WB are liars, this is bullshit, when's the next beta key wave, and we are all on drugs.

I respectfully call bullshit, and it's even more disrespectful that they would rather lie to us lol. Priority was given. It is what it is. I'm definitely not trippen about no having a code anymore, but to bold face lie and say it was 100% random... okay homie. Keep hitting us with those #alternativefacts lmfao.
the first day the beta started there were a few thousand codes randomly assigned and emailed out for each platform. employees in total were giving a few dozen codes to give to friends & family. Sure some of those went to some players / streamers that they know personally while most went to whoever at their desecration.
wave 2 a few more thousand codes went out, and only a few employees were able to get some extra codes for f&f and derek & i took 75 codes frost faustings to personally give out to ppl first come first serve.
yesterday another few thousand codes went out and we're pretty much out of employee codes.

most of these streamers/players actually got their codes because they were luckily emailed or they got from a viewer/subscriber or a follower on twitter after complaining they don't have one. some were even then afterwards saying something vague like I got this from a hookup to imply they were hollywood and got a code directy from 'nrs' when they didn't.

also when you signed up doesn't factor into getting an email. If you registered before the signups ended. They were randomly selected from the entire pool.

I just want to say thanks for actually replying to the thread and clearing some of this up. It's good to hear from an actual NRS member, and not just a forum moderator.

@colt Thank you for your input and time

Do you know if the info I shared in the initial post of this thread was from an NRS employee or if that individual is only an admin on the Injustice forums?

Why not release the code to everyone?

Horrible way to address the community members. Yes many of us exaggerated in the criticism, but as a highly "professional" respected company, how do you issue a statement with a very condescending tone criticizing the very same people who are going to buy the product. I would fire who ever was responsible for this statement. All it does is create more anger.

Anyone who has worked in the service industry will tell you the customer is always right even when they are not. And even then many of us had some very valid concerns

This is exactly the kind of transparency we've needed all along (and, even more importantly, going forward). Thank you for responding.

+1. We are on the same page.

Just putting it out there that I never received an email with a code (despite me being one of the biggest supporters of the game). I only got one from someone on twitter.

I'm sure many YouTubers/Streamers/Top Players get codes because they know people that are willing to donate their code to them.

My understanding is that some streamers/pros were given a key directly, separate from the registration method, and others got their keys from viewers who want to see them play. Either way, it's a closed beta. Who cares if SonicFox "deserves" one because he's a special snowflake or not? It doesn't change your experience at all. If he gets a key for being special, you don't get one. And if he doesn't get a key, you still don't get one. So maybe stop feeling so entitled and be patient.

Its in their official community website. It is an extension of the company. They directly reflect the company.

They should be way more careful with who they assign to these positions.
