I'm gonna give my positives though:

The fatalities thus far are fucking dope.

The maps seem way better than MKX.

The gear has variety and caters to all audiences of klassic and newer designs.

And the roster itself while I think small, is incredibly satisfying to look at.

And if Frost is any indicator on how easy it will be to get the unlockables in this game, we may be set.

They are called stages, not “maps”. Act like you’ve been here before.

I believe Boon said that he's his most hated character, and gets done just as bad in the comics. He has a following, but I have no clue how much of it is legit, and how much are just for the memes.

If you look at the images you can see that they all have a locked symbol next to them, and there are 2 of 30 hammers available to him currently. So these are things that you can see and need to unlock.

My only complaint about Frost's new design is the fact that they gave her YouTuber hair

She was bald in another build which tells me her hair is gear and changeable. Every other character on the select screen at that time was maskless/missing their customizable gear so I think this is a safe assumption.

She looks amazing, and honestly I much prefer her “YouTuber” hair to the old weird slicked back look, so I bet people will be pretty split on it. Either way, her model is awesome and i can’t wait to see her customizable options.

On one hand, Boon really needs to chill with his biased fuckery on these things.

On the other hand, I commend that he doesn't give a fuck. I'm really split.

I just don't see the harm because I don't know why you'd be a fan of that specific character.

 

It was the same with Goro in MK X, you could buy him if you wanted of you didn't preorder you'd get him for free anyway. Kittelson worked on the story in this game so definitely going to have to explain that lol, but there could be one valid argument. Since they're doing time bending, they could always say in the 2nd timeline Scorpion kills Hsu Hao with the headpunch. Maybe this is from a different timeline where Erron Black kills him instead. Problem solved.
