Combo List - Sonya Blade Sonya Blade Combo Thread

So the only side switch I can find is still a 2 grenade combo.

She can actually switch side with 1 shock grenade by a delayed detonation to a run-jump on the other side, but it's super inconsistent.

I'm using [starter] ~ SG, dash, 21~SG, dash under, 2134

Works well enough, but it is quite a pain to not be able to switch sides via combo unless I have 2 in the chamber.

Found a way to do it with one but it's not the easiest and it's for sure not optimal.

I've been trying this when I have 3 grenades and I open someone up in the corner. Instead of using all 3 grenades for X amount of damage, I've been only using 1 and then sacrificing a little damage in order to make them guess again and go back into a combo.

Recorded some Demo Sonya optimal damage combos.

Obviously there's no safe reload off of these, but it's good to know what do do when you need the damage anyway.

None of them are too hard.
Does B332 lead to more damage than B33212?

The timing on those wonderchef combos is strange. The 213 after the first f2 doesn't want to land consistently. I'll get it, timing just isn't right for me I guess right now.

After the first grenade, they slowly rise into the air, you have to make sure that you run up to them and do the F2 when they're as high as they're going to get.

Those are some nice killing combos chef. I rather stick to my 33 and 36? Percent mid screen with safe reload though.
Also, do the uppercut combos work on female characters?

Yeah for sure, I would take a safe reload if I wasn't killing too.

I was messing with it, and you can do:

Starter xx Grenade > F2 > (F2 or 21) xx Grenade > F2 xx Grenade > Run 2134 for like 37% off of overhead into safe reload.


And I've landed that uppercut combo on Tanya but I haven't tried it on everybody to be honest.

Honestly I just started playing demo Sonya about a week ago so I'm fairly sure I'm not doing the most optimal mid screen combos. I came up with them myself. They are
StarterxxSG, f4xxSG, dash, NJP, f2xxSG, run f4/2134xxreload.

No real point to this, I've just never seen it before. No reason to do it either since it's harder than her normal corner juggle stuff.

So after having basically played Kano for the entirty of MKX's life, I decided to cut ties with the big guy and try something new. After some soul searching, I tried out Sonya and I am really enjoying Special Forces cause drones are fun yo!

After spending some time in training mode and looking over this thread, I started to do these combos as possible BnBs for when you have drone. I'm still not 100% with them since the B2, NJP is killing my life but, I feel like these could work. Any suggestions?

B14xxBLK4, Run, B2, 2134 - 29%
B14xxBLK4, Run, B1, 121xxBF4 - 32%

Also while screwing around in the corner, I found some dumb combos that you can do with any variant of Sonya. None of these scream super practical, in fact the first two are the same as in the OP with just another 12 added for like 1% more haha.

Yeah, NJP after the drone isn't very practical. Her BnB does 29% (highlighted in bold). Even if you do an extra 6% with an extremely-difficult combo, if you miss only one out of every three you still have a net loss of damage because that drop is only 18% (that's also being conservative, because it leaves you without drone and close to the opponent. Not a good situation).

That other one I've tried, and unless I just suck at timing (quite possible) it won't work if the b14 starts out at max-range.
The extra 3% isn't worth it anyway with the BF4 ender. 2134 gives you a free drone AND a free homing shot. Ring blast while they wait because they have to block the homing shot and that's a guaranteed extra 4% already, so that 2134 is really netting you more damage anyway,

.... though if someone could actually pull this off in tournament:

@Tony at Home Thanks for the reply. The 29% you're talking about is the one in the OP, I'm guessing? Oddly enough I find that combo harder to do then the one I posted haha. However I will agree that 6% isn't a lot for the difficulty this combo brings but, I guess that's why we practice combos to make it that we don't miss the combo 1/3 times. Though if I'm REALLY worried about dropping I could always do...

This version is super easy to do too. Also I noticed that instead of B2, NJP you can do B2, B2 and end up with the same damage, though dunno if it's any easier to do haha.

As for the B14 combo, I can hit that at the range where the B1 whiffs and only the 4 hits, which seems pretty max range to me :)

I'll look into, test, and update OP combo thread if this stuff is all legit. Awesome stuff!

Also, do note if you're not testing it, special forces sonya has the b2 that pops up and other variations don't. Not in front of a console right now to test, but that was the one thing that looked off to me. Looks sick though.

They aren't optimal, but cool combos anyway :D

For example, Low midscreen 42%:
B33212, DF11, (slight delay) F2, F2, DF 11, F2, DF11, RC, 213, BF4

That is literally the same damage as my combo, but with a different starter and slightly harder. Mine with B33212 does 42% also.

I use B322 because it's better on block if you do it raw, and it has waaaay more cancel advantage if you cancel it into a grenade on block. You can't even jail into a grenade off of b33212, but B322 has so much cancel advantage, that you can delay the grenade to be even, which opens up even more mixups.

Didn't check the midscreen video since I knew a 42% on the top of my head so I wrote it down. I apologize if it does the same damage.
