And for the love of god, it doesn't have to keep the person standing by the first hit if that's what you're implying; they could make it so that the first hit of glow kick launches, Cassie then dives downwards then the opponent is left mid-air in a juggle state. The whole point would be to allow her to spend a bar of meter for like 35% midscreen. That is NOT broken. It just allows her to spend meter for more damaging combos - something which the vast majority of the cast can do.ex glow kick should not give you a full combo at close rage because that would be an incredible buffed to cassie cage damage and she would be op with that buffed. she would be able to do b12exbf4 for 40% mid screen. if you goal is to break cassie with one buff making ex glow kick combo at close distance is the way to go.
cassie it is losing some of her options now that she doesn't have armor on flip kick but she is still good. the only thing i would change now that she is losing the amor on flip kick is to give her back the 2% damage she lost mid screen but leave the conner damage as it is now.

Honestly, I would be ok with an unsafe EX flip so I can make Kung Lao like reads or anti air bad jumps for some actual damage and pressure. I usually forget to spend a meter on my 50/50 attempt lol. And if I was really scared isn't the full glow kick over head string safe? Not the Hollywood specific one.
I've always played a character that has to get around projectiles in fighting games, so the brawler struggle is nothing new to me. The only bad part is NRS gave no real way to deal with them. I can't go through them, I can get them out of the way, I just have to maneuver around them which is especially difficult when NRS makes projectiles so good. And yes the projectiles in this game are good, at least for the zoners.
Anyone feel the gap in the b2 string is usable like the gap in teh b124 string? Or is it so obvious when to armor you're just asking to be armored like Kotal Kahn cancelling into ex disc?

I always thought of Cassie a neutral type character who just so happens to have a 50/50 and thus is affected on several levels design wise because of it. I always use EX Flip to be safe, since I'm doing a 50/50 that leads to lower than average damage and if I get punished I'll be hit with more than what I could output probably. That's how I think of it anyway, I neeeeed safeness lol. It's all I spend meter on really. F3,3 is -8 on block at point blank range and leaves her in a standing state.
I think walk and block is your best friend, dude. I never stuggle playing Brawler - sure there's less options and you have to play their game at full screen but that's the nature of Brawler

hell to the no. the reason that she had to loose her safe armoured launcher was because it was the fastest fucking move in the game, it was safe, and it launched. maybe if her nut punch didn't have invincibility frames then I could see justifying giving her another armoured launcher to replace it but given her toolset I think she's just fine without it. the only other safe armoured launcher that exists now is tremor's crystalline one as far as I'm aware so I don't know who else you were referring to when you said "out of the characters that have safe armoured launchers how come she had to be the one to loose hers?".Since cassie looses armor on her EX flip kick in the beta why not make her other armor option launch? Of course that's what I do. But if you're going to tell me you don't struggle facing the zoning of the likes of Shinnok, Lui Kang and such then I doubt they are challenging you that much. I'm hoping the EX BF3 gives them a nice reason to be scared mid range.

if ex glow kick gets more damage scaling i guess it will not be a bad buff. i would love to do 35% for a bar so that i don't have to use 2 bars in brawler to do 38% mid screen anymore but we already can do 33% mid screen for a bar now so it would not be a big change

I know this is an extremely old thread. Lol, but Cassie's insta guns comes out so quickly it stops all zoning, even forcing opponents like GM sub to come in on you.(Guns go right through clone hitting sub zero instantly if he tries to throw ice ball, or if he tries to throw clone at you) So a lot of people do end up respecting you air guns once they realize you can't counter zone because her guns just stop your zoning.Air guns do 7%, let's use Lao for an example, he can sit there throw his hat and guide it for basically no execution and trade his own 7% and get a knock down if they trade.
Kitana can catch a grounded fan. Gets knockdown and zoning advantage.
Mileena can Low Sai. Gets knockdown and zoning advantage.
Shinnok wins a trade by 1% in bone shaper.
Ronin Takeda has multiple options. Blade drop/call should be good for these situations.
