Me vs my Raiden friend (he just got MKX)
The standing 1 walk back B2 counter-poke setup doesn't work well on Raiden because his D1 has crazy range unfortunately.
That strategy works better with Ninjutsu, even so, Scorpion Walkspeed is bottom 10 in the game either forward or backwards, so he is unable to whiff punishing correctly, those characters who have a longer range on D4 and D1 will always hit him every time he is trying to space out for a whiff punish.
@Eddy Wang I need tips man
Your hellfire scorpion is good, aside from 214 FBC all you need is variation experience to get used to the unusual distances it allows this scorpion to play compared to ninjutsu.
Also any block pressure that is no 214~fbc is not a blockstring that is why you keep getting armored out, however 214~fbc into almost any followup at the tightest links are blockstrings, even throws.
Set Sub-Zero to reversal with Icy Slide then practice your FBC pressure there, see which one you can bait out with FBC and which ones are a hard counter.
I go for 214~FBC most of the time, until i'm sure they're not fuzzy guarding anymore then i mix with a B3 instead of throw or F2. on the last hit of the 3rd blockstring after they block a hellfire, sometimes is good to throw a B3~ex spear, and sometimes they just armor out of it.
