Red Hood

The real Batman!
Damien died too quick IMO. But Jason is still awesome, I think this is a good choice to make his character grow and set him apart from the other Robins aside from being "Batman who kills" or Angsty Robin." or Emo Robin or whatever is popular nowadays. I dunno why people dislike Jason so much. then again, I wasn't around for his role as Robin before he was killed off.

Master
Can't stand his team, can't stand his attitude (i like the killing thing though), he still wants batman's approval. Why does he use the bat symbol anyway?

Yeah I can see that, Starfire was not presented as well as she should have been and Roy can be really obnoxious for some. Jason's attitude was cool for me, just writers made he way too emotional sometimes with the constant ranting and crying, I dunno about Batman's approval, he was only mad at him for how he did things. As for why he wears the symbol still, Scott Lobdell said something on this once, basically its because he is being ironic, like an anarchist wearing military symbols etc .The symbol was almost like a gang symbol to strike fear into others. People who see it know that if they mess with Jason, Batman will get involved. But really in all honesty as seen in the first volume of Red Hood and the outlaws the reason behind it is because he's wearing one of Nightwing's old costumes....Starfire had a bunch of Dick's old suits in her ship so whenever she rescued Jason and he needed something to wear that's what he put on and he's been wearing it ever since. Also, to piss the Bat-family off but the way Lobdell developed Jason was more in lines of Jason moving on from feeling betrayed by Bruce. Could also be a lame marketing strategy lol but I don't think enough has been made of the fact that Jason has been willingly giving away his happiest memories (he does so in an early arc of Red Hood and the Outlaws), which are implied to be of his time with Bruce. I think this is what mellowed him toward the Bat Family. He didn't feel as betrayed because he didn't feel as connected. This allowed him enough distance to kind of/sort of return. It's a very interesting concept.

Yeah, once people see that Bat symbol people look at his costume on the the cover of RHATO, they see the symbol and associate him with Batman in a hope to drive sales since Red Hood isn't as synonomous with Batman as Robin , Batgirl, or even Nightwing.

*watches as he acts like a bitch*

Huh?

So...... the reason why he acted like a bitch in this issue is because....... he's maturing?

I just wanna know why he's acting so bitchmade. Is he under mind control? He looks unsure of himself and let Shiva talk to him like he's a bitch. Is it because he doesn't have his helmet on?
In case you didn't know, Jason has lost his memory. He barely even knows who he is.

Ah, that would explain it. What volume was this? I only have Volumes 1-7 of Red Hood and the Outlaws.
It was in issue 19, completely slipped my mind that not everyone knew this. I guess things will start to make a bit more sense now. He didnt even know who Roy and Starfire were.

Thought it was something. That's all I needed to know. Thanks.
Your avatar reminds me I need to look more into Hawkgirl and Hawkman, lots of people seem to like them and I only remember her from the animated series, I didn't think they were so popular. I remember a popular battle of Hawkman vs Wolverine.

Also Bruce and Jason were on good terms, they had almost completely resolved all the tension between them but Bruce screwed it up.

In case you guys didn't know, after Joker abducted the bat family, he sabotaged Jason's hood which burned his face. Bruce treated him at the manor and after all that they kissed and made up (not literally, but they hugged). Even in Justice League #19 we see Jason hanging out with Alfred in the bat cave, reminiscing over Damian's death.

But stupid Brice had to ruin the whole relationship again in Batman and Robin/Red Hood #20. So they've taken a whole 2 steps back again, Which messed up Jason's head again so he got his memory wiped after all the stress of his roller coster life.
