Yo Phil!! I'll save the details for later, but yeah, I've been OUT for a minute. Been playing more single player games I guess, and I got engaged (woohoo!), so that's where the time has gone. I still jump on MKAK or even UMK360 now and again, but I miss the real deal. I've been lurking here lately, and talk of MKT 64 as well as the new MK2 hack are
really giving me the itch.
Mad busy lately but I'm gonna see if I can make it down to Blu Planet on the 25th! Definitely want a piece of this MKT action. The idea of an n64 arcade stick is cracking me up and I can't wait to try it.
It's because of various gameplay differences in n64 outlined in first post. It's like having a fresh 2D MK to play for the veteran players, since it was largely ignored in the American scene until recently. Through complete accident, it addresses some of the popular complaints about high-level UMK3 gameplay.
The loading in PS1 isn't the real problem; it's the fact that it's more accurate to the UMK3 gameplay than n64, and thus suffers from the same criticisms as UMK3 at the highest level.
