You can't build 8-12 bars even by using both your opponent's and your lifebar dude lol. Think about the matchups in which you can safely lay down teeth in the neutral game / gunshot to zone/counterzone and you'll see just how easily Joker builds meter.
Well, I said using 8-12 bars, not building it all in a round. I've started a 2nd round with 2-4 bars then built enough to use 8-12 total throughout the round (8 isn't even hard honestly, 12 depends on matchups). I mean think about it, gunshot by itself buids 1/5 of a bar if I remember correctly (don't have access to the game for a month) whether shot or canceled. I know teeth and flower build decent meter too, but can't remember quite how much.
I also know that I can build (and spend at the same rate) 3 bars in the corner while taking a full health bar (with OTG resets of course).
That said I do agree with all you said and TBH you know more about it than I, and yeah MU changes things pretty drastically sometimes.
