I said its 4-6, not 5-5. But like most characters, you win the footsie game when you get in.
Why is it 6-4/7-3? I used to hat this MU because he could port out of my oki. Now He can do SAFE teleports away from GL. His zoning is on par or better than GL. If he lames the match out like zatanna can, its miserable.MMH will always beat GL, LBSH and DJT and orochi will agree to that (even tho 6 4 aint terrible). DS GL auto 5 5, GL vs zatanna and raven i'd call 6 4s. Also Ares vs GL 5 5????? umm DJT actually calls that 6 4 or 7 3 GL.
what vs ares? all you need to do in that matchup is play the footsie game and just be patient with a lead. It actually is one of GL's easier matchups.
Haven't played a good ares since the patch but I know pre patch when he didn't have EX teleport it was in GL's favor. Did the MU change that much from EX tele?

Ares can treat it like zatanna. Just port and run away and hurl plasma and weapons. Including an axe that cant be jumped

i'd still call it 6 4 GL mainly bcuz the footsie game isn't even close and Ares doesn't outzone GL/ nor do better up close than GL does vs him.
I still think its pretty even he can port out of steups for free does well in the zoning game and has pretty good pressure(gimmicks). B1 just fucks everyone lol

GL has poop damage though he has to spend so much meter and the majority of the time you only hit people with b13 or f3 or lift. Without bgb you get like 33% 1 meter. Ares outzones GL because his ex teleport keeps him honest and his mb fireball and axe are good vs GL. Ares is basically just a worse version of Zatannahe has some decent gimmicks, but they aren't that viable when someone knows about them lol. Also GL doesn't need setups to land a combo and just let ares hang himself
First off, NO. GL does not have poop damage. F3 = 40+%. Otherwise yes, Gl vs Ares iss 5-5. He is a worse zatana

How does he have better zoning i fell like the zoning war is quite even especially if Ares has a life lead.

air missiles, unless he has axe/ sword on him, he can only tele on them to beat them out. Also normal oa rocket faster than Ares whatever his blast called correct?
Yeah but the Mb fireball does hella damage and will hit him on the way down. Plus Ares can mb port to an air oa rocket and get in better position, he keeps you honest im not saying he gets zoned out
