actually they were all bad everyone hated them and nobody wanted them and they shoulda gave us reiko in mkx instead
I'm glad I know you well enough to know you like the stir the pot, because MKX had literally some of the best and most satisfying guests in fighting game history, IMO.
I hope Rambo is as good as the MKX guests were and gives me reason to pick this game up again, because I'm going to be disappointed on both our behalves if he turns out to play like just another character once you get past how cool he looks.
This roster is 90% pretty faces with nothing going on upstairs, and I want John to be the exception.
So. . .like, MKvDC? or Armageddon? Cause they had DLC planned for both of those.
This is my problem, as put simply by someone else:
Since WB owns Boons @ss, they will stick those American iconic faces, wherever they can, whether Ed likes it, or not.

Mortal Kombat has almost completely gone from being its own original entity to just another head of the WB hydra, which is why we have a story mode that makes less sense than a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on, and a "competitive" meta and ranked mode that are built to cater to Call Of Duty level casual players rather than actual competitive players. And if that's how it has to be for there to keep being MK games, then it is what it is. They COULD turn this into Armageddon and add the entire roster to this game over time, and it won't mean a thing if the gameplay is still as linear and watered down as a straight line under a deep lake.
But again, I repeat: I WANT RAMBO TO BE DIFFERENT. And if they couple this triad of characters with ditching the pseudo-variation system, my entire opinion and outlook on this game will be open to change.
Also: after seeing Rain not get his lightning, I'll be surprised if either the Rocket Raccoon trap or that little ground mine actually make it into a tournament variation.
