I've had this happen with the eTokki one. It's not the converter.

The PS2's analog sticks sometimes stick to a direction slightly if you jar them a little, which unfortunately gets picked up by some converters (Yeah, they're that sensitive). This is easily solved by rotating the sticks and pressing them in a bit, I've found, which tightens them up. Weirdly enough, this isn't an issue on a PS2 itself.

It's moreso the PS2 pad that's at fault.

Yup. Happens every now and then on both the xconverter 360 and Xtokki. Thought it was my pad going bad.

The xTokki 360 converter is the best one-time investment I've ever made for my Xbox 360.
I recommend using a PSX/PS1 controller as opposed to the Ps2 controller.

But yeah. This is great. No stupid triggers, no dank D-Pad (if you can even call it a D-Pad). Works like a charm. ♥

Etokki converter question

Is it possible to turn off the analog? I accidently hit the analog sometimes and it messes me up. Everytime I press it, I get sent to the xbox menu button thing

EDIT: Sorry I completely missed the sticky thread... mods if this topic shouldn't have been created, then can you move this post to that sticky thread please?

so i just got the converter in the mail today and also bought a ps2 controller from gamestop but it doesnt seem to work

everything is plugged in correctly ( i hope) but i could not move the cursor around the menu. and when i press the analog to go to the guide menus, i can only switch blades with the analog sticks and not go up and down.

i then switched back to my 360 controller to go to practice mode and put back the converter there. but all my character does is crouch block without me pressing buttons. the select and start buttons still work in practice mode and when i unplug the ps2 controller my guy is still crouch blocking. so it should not be the controllers fault

i then turn off the console and turn it on while the converter is plugged in but my console keeps resetting itself before loading the dashboard.

does anyone know what is happening and can help me fix this problem? thx in advance

This looks like a pretty good setup, especially since my Hori Ex2 Turbo broke recently. It's just too bad that they are out of stock right now; I hope that changes soon.

k ignore everything i said before. it was the controller. i replaced it and it works fine : ) so now my problem is that there is a lot of friction on the dpad and the analog sticks keep getting in the way. but like i said these are my problems. : )
