He immediately desync'd it, though, which naturally resulted in me getting the L anyway.
Last KL I played in was 3 and I swear it gave me W's for desyncs. I vividly remember going to my Profile W-L record and thinking "huh, cool, they gave me a W". But even before then, I do think I remember seeing no W or L given on desyncs in some private matches... Granted, I could have mis-seen or just not been paying attention to what my real W-L was in the first place.

I'm not trying to debate the facts of what y'all present, btw. I'm just...shocked. I never realized this. The desyncs are what put me off from playing online anymore, mostly b/c at the early phases of the game, it was that RGB bug and it just frustrated me to get desyncs. But after learning all of this, that it could just be alt+f4'ing or plug pulling...I may still not want to go online lol. I thought I'd have more faith in PC players to have more integrity, but I know that's a thing of the past (not counting FPS hackers who've always been around lol).

Still unable to play on PC at all. Keep getting the error that they can't retrieve my inventory. Gave me the same thing on PS4 and then when I tried again, it worked just fine. Still going on PC, but I'm definitely not alone. Plenty other folk seem to be experiencing the same thing.

Honestly, there's only a select few people on PC that do this shit. The forced lag / desync guys are only 3-4 individuals from my knowledge, 2 of which I haven't seen in like 3-4 months. There are, however, a lot of salty assholes that plug pull pretty frequently because I assume they think something along the lines of "There's no reason I should be losing to this guy. He doesn't deserve the W." I have quite a few screenshots of these guys in action; but the screenshots don't mean a whole lot when everyone can freely change their name on Steam, keep their profiles private, and use special characters to make themselves impossible to search.

Overall, it's a VERY very small percentage of players that do that scummy shit so I wouldn't worry about it too much. KL is super low stakes since it's just a point grind and W/L ratio means basically nothing so no use worrying about 1 plug puller among 50+ sets.

i have no issue with people doing alt f4 during finish him screen cause they dont want to watch a fatality been done on them. but cheating the system to not getting Ls is where it triggers me. like i come from cs where everyone is cheating and i chosen the FGC cause you cant really cheat right ? it seems you can.

There's a reason I rarely play public matches. And people actually getting triggered by Fatalities...

Did this start recently, or ever since "Aftermath" launched? Have you tried verifying your file integrity?

It's a widespread, post Aftermath issue. It's like some people's accounts are messed up or something and can't be retrieved. The main suspicion is something went wrong during the augment conversion process.

Since after the expansion launched. I tried that already. It worked fine at first and then the next time I went to play, I had this problem.

@Eldriken Shame. I hope you haven't lost all of your unlocks. In a game like this, that would be, well, awful. Have you opened a support ticket yet?

@Gooberking Ah. I noticed yesterday that my Gear had no Augments and the third slot appeared to be unlocked, so I assumed it had done the conversion thing I'd heard about.

That probably adds credence to the augment conversion failing. They said the conversions would place users into a queue and work through them. It's a server process that happens "later". In your case it probably worked up until that process failed.

On the plus side, I'm not running into near as many of the frame drops today. Nothing changed though, so that sort of win usually isn't a win

Someone knows where to report bugs to get developer awareness?
I just post it here as it also is PC specific

Robocop has a bugged Outro (only the third one - see image) where the game goes down to 30fps with 60fps option turned on.
The problem alone is not as bad but the 30fps situation stays if you go back to menus etc.
Meaning the game runs with 30fps as if the 60fps PC option is off, even tho it is still on.

Easy pictures to understand:

The game and benchmarking doesn't take the 60fps scenes into account, so it's always possible for someone's system to not be up to running every cinematic at 60fps. I can't quite get all of them to, and you do see dips in a fps counter when that happens. I've noticed the menus will often nose dive down to 30fps for whatever reason as characters are selected. The menu running at exactly 30 seems a little specific and makes me curious about the factors there, but it's not unusual for something to drag performance on the 60fps stuff. Most of it would probably be resolved with better hardware.

I know from having older hardware when IJ2 launched (and all the patching of specific gear causing major performance drops) and trying the DX12 mode and having terrible performance, that the specific stage and character skins you pick can impact performance massively. Metallic surfaces seem to require the most extra work, and Robocop is basically one big reflective surface. It's worth trying the less reflective skins to see what happens.

All of that up there said, there is another situation with scenes where they may run at 60fps, but they weren't made the same way and are only animated at 30fps where the 60fps mode doesn't help them. The ending sequence of Kronika getting her head split open is an example. I've noticed Sheeva's Friendship is a mix of the two. The whole thing runs at 60fps according to an fps counter, but the lead in, and the waist up camera showing her face are clearly only at 30fps, while the close up shots of her hands playing the glasses is legit 60fps. I haven't go through all of them to see if there are more like that, but out of the ones I've seen that is the only one I noticed that on. It's a bummer, because you can't just throw better hardware at it and see it smooth out.

@Gooberking That's entirely possible. I haven't bothered trying changing things back to 30 FPS and see how Fujin's Friendship animates because a few frame hiccups in non-interactible sequences to irk me that much.

Having said that, my system to exceed the recommended requirements for the game.

I would never recommend you return to the eyesore that is 30fps for any game.

I don't even like going back to 60fps after 120+ it takes a minute to look at it before it goes back to normal.
Yeah, 60 is just where things start to not suck, but it's not an ideal. The fact that gamers out of side of fighters have allowed 30fps to be an acceptable standard drives me crazy.

It's like when my parents don't see the point of getting an HD tv while watching a ball game and you can't even read the score on their 20-year-old tv.

The game was never designed to run 60 fps in menus, cutscenes etc... It was only added coz it was easy to unlock either way in UE on PC. Some things are lacking frames, so there are empty frames rendered (thats why you see 60 fps in the counter but it doesn't "feel" right) or frames skipped. This also was cozing some desyncs which was very annoying - got fixed later on.

DirectX 12 mode works mostly fine but only on newer hardware (GPU - RTX cards from NV and RX5X00 from AMD, thou the later do have some driver issues).

As for 60 vs 120+ fps while pretty much everybody see the difference (even if they say they don't), its simply not possible just yet to just jump to it. Most people hardware can barely do FHD@60 fps. Doing constant 120 fps FG would req a lot of detail cutting so it would run fine on mediocre setups (which again most people have). There is also a lot of problems with syncing when you go for such a high fps count. Anyways 60 is fine, you can always go with higher resolution / details if you have better hardware. (MK 11 runs just fine in 4K with maxed everything on decent PC).

I meant for testing purposes.

In actual play, outside of fighting games, 30 FPS doesn't bother me, but I obviously prefer 60 FPS. I've never played anything other than The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition over 60 FPS.

Is anyone else lagging on Soul Chamber stage? I feel slight stuttering here and there on Kronika's Keep too but Soul Chamber is ridiculous. Especially in the middle.
