The real irony is that the best version of Kano would still be a high mid tier character in today's game. The uninformed community at that time was so busy whining about knives and upball that characters like Kabal and Kenshi went completely under the radar.Whats really ironic is Kano is poster-child for why buffing causes community backlash.
Vanilla Kano: F3 was not Low, Upball was a ballstate punish (~-30), No armor
Patched Kano #1: F3 became low, Upball now -7, Added armor to straight ball
Patched Kano #2: Upball now -13, 8f instead of 6f
Everyone say Kano was "overly nerfed" yet he definitely better off than he was in vanilla. It makes no sense. Obviously he shouldn't have had a -7 upball ever, and it was fixed to -13 which it even said in the official patch notes it was intended to be "similar to Johnny Cage's flipkick on block" which is -12 on block.
If the was not touched he would have not had any low combo starter, no armor, and his Upball would be absolute death on block.
this is kind of what is happening now.The real irony is that the best version of Kano would still be a high mid tier character in today's game. The uninformed community at that time was so busy whining about knives and upball that characters like Kabal and Kenshi went completely under the radar.
All characters do, I believe. For example, I can't understand that Sinestro lose his trait when a chash happens.
yeah but some people like me won't agree with you. you either say no nerfs or nerfs. you can't say im not okay with changes... except this one. so many people have been doing thatIn my opinion the only "nerf/buffs" that needs to be adjusted is the damage on interactables. Pushing a button to throw a tv because you have a power character for a free 18% damage is a little high.
Other than that I'd say its too early to be adjusting properties on characters moves unless its to fix infinites or glitches. For all we know some other character can have some tech discovered 3 weeks from now making them "the OP best".
In the grand scheme of things I just think the damage on interactables is a lil excessive, but not a game changer so I wouldn't be heartbroken if it wasn't changed. As far as characters go I don't see any legitimate reason to nerf/buff someone in less than a month. I'd have no problem saying no nerfs/buffs for at least a few months.yeah but some people like me won't agree with you. you either say no nerfs or nerfs. you can't say im not okay with changes... except this one. so many people have been doing that
So you have trouble against Killer Frost and Aquaman matchup... So NRS should waste a whole post-patch on nerfing 2 characters... And specifically 2-3 things total...Those who are not asking for nerf/buff doens't play the game in a high level.
Please, nerf Killer Frost YOLO slide. Please, nerf Aquaderp Trait. I would also ask to nerf some Aquaman stuff, but I think that it should be bearable for the moment.
What is so game breaking about the movements? And this is a fighting game.. Save honor for the 16th century duel.I don't have much problems with that, it's just about they are game breaking movements.
There's no honor in using them.
They don't break the game. What is this even.I don't have much problems with that, it's just about they are game breaking movements.
There's no honor in using them.
The irony in this post. Those who are not asking for nerf/buff doens't play the game in a high level.
Please, nerf Killer Frost YOLO slide. Please, nerf Aquaderp Trait. I would also ask to nerf some Aquaman stuff, but I think that it should be bearable for the moment.
First you can't sit back with arrow any way he can get out zoned by damn near everyone so don't assume I'm juat sitting back secondly 1 percent is just ridiculousWhy? so u can sit across the stage like every other green arrow and spam them to win? Green Arrow is about as bad as Deathstroke though ive been seeing more and more "in your face" Deathstrokes. I havent once seen an in your face Arrow.
Grundy doesn't lose his buffs, if I'm not mistaken. All characters do, I believe.
And Reptile lost his meter gain on dash, as well as a nerf to dash recovery on hit, and the indirect oki nerf due to the wakeup system change, which slightly buffed him also.
