You are not quite getting the point. You can do an instant air projectile using the normal method, yes. My gripe has always been with doing these inputs with the shortcut methods (which is the reason for the controller setting), since they provide a way better option for doing the moves where you are traveling backwards and even closer to the ground than you would be with the other method since it is less input motions (2 verses 3). I would re-read my thread because it has everything to do with being able to perform inputs with the shortcuts, and not me saying that I have no way to do instant air projectiles anymore...Not sure why that is what you think I am saying.Right. But just because you can't perform the shortcut doesn't mean you can't perform the instant air move.
Instead of holding diagonal and doing the input for your projectile, simply tap up and perform the input. They will do an instant air projectile.
What is annoying is that we had this caught right away and we have had multiple patches and no fix and no explanation other than "You can turn off input shortcuts" which obviously might as well have just said they didn't read the thread about it.They need to fix this. It's way too sensitive. I don't know why input shortcuts are tied to interactable shortcuts anyway. The two things are unrelated.
I'm talking about the one where you input a string but cancel the first hit into a special and input the rest of the string after the special. If I have my opponent knocked down as Takeda I can press b3 kunai d3 and on hit it comes out as b3 kunai and on whiff I get my b3d3 string. It's really useful for catching backdashes and delayed wake-ups. I'm sure other characters like Sonya and Erron Black have this too.Wait, do option selects actually not work with Input Shortcuts off, or are they just harder? @RedRaptor10
It was at least twice when I watched one setI definitely saw Lars trigger this by mistake during ESL Finals.
For those who don't know, shortcuts off allows you to option select special moves when your normals hit. Shortcuts on disables this, but you can still option select specials when normals are blocked. In my opinion OS's are the worst part of this game, but I guess we have to live with em.Wait, do option selects actually not work with Input Shortcuts off, or are they just harder? @RedRaptor10
I'd agree with this but there are so many uses for them to be left on. Buffering moves from crouch and inputting moves with just db~b or d/f~f allows you to do specials without telegraphing a crouch as well. Whatever we pick we lose and the most logical fix would be to not get an interactable while doing a 1,2 or 2,1.For those who don't know, shortcuts off allows you to option select special moves when your normals hit. I know they mentioned it, but I'll just say I think it's better to play shortcuts off and get used to it.
I think that these should be left in so that we can see more of your rage. It's definitely cost me games. And it definitely makes me rage. We can only hope.
I don't rage THAT bad.I think that these should be left in so that we can see more of your rage.
