It's the Zyphox mentality Way back when Kano's b2 in Cyber was a good move and a block infinite on Takeda and Quan Zyphox wanted that shit nerfed to the ground. Even going as far as to say I don't care about what happens to your character fuck him. Nerf him to the ground.pretty much every characters in the game had a way to beat b212+4 blade drop f1, the patch just made his pressure too good
how can you justify having a block infinite against 6 characters?
if getting hit or armor or back dash is the only way to get out then the loop is a block infinityIt's definitely not. If you try to jump out of this setup, all he gets is the first hit of the next string, and if he dialed it all in already he gets punished. It's a lot of plus frames but there are ways to get out of this.
Thats not true but those options don't work regardless.if getting hit or armor or back dash is the only way to get out then the loop is a block infinity
People tried to justify why Quan didn't need a faster d1 to avoid infinites.pretty much every characters in the game had a way to beat b212+4 blade drop f1, the patch just made his pressure too good
how can you justify having a block infinite against 6 characters?
raiden has a 45% b2 starter in the corner with 1 bar as well which can end with a hard knockdown as wellQuan gets a standing 50/50 in Summoner. In warlock for a bar a forceblock up to 70% on hit can be made safe with 2 bar
Kung Lao gets around 40% a bar and BUILDS meter much faster than cryo sub ever could. Also has much better wake up options.
Takeda Ronin has a restand that does 30% into frame traps and armor break setups with blade call/blade toss cancels.
Tremor has 32+% bnbs meter less plus 13% unblockable ground pounds for a bar.
For 2 bars which Sub Zero won't always have doing 40% Into a restand ain't that big a deal. I'd rather deal with that than hard to blockables.
Also Master of Souls Ermac. Easy restarts with soul ball. Into 50/50 that leads to 40%+ for a bar.
We got a character with a damage boost "parry" Into INVISIBLE footsies. In deceptive reptile. Also to be fair anyone with a 1 bar combo and a good 50/50 can do this conparable garbage by ending in a throw cancel.
Cry Sub can close out a round NO DOUBT but it's that meter dependent. They got no more breaker. No get off the ground armor. No more utility.
The comparisons I used were for a damage for a bar vs subs for 2. We ain't all sitting on 2 bars all match.
Wasn't too sure on Raiden's damage. I was only posting about characters I play extensively. I never really touched raiden so I didn't want to speak on a character I never explored. But that note is also appreciated! Its more damage, I'd argue he has better normals/meter building/strings/corner push than cryo sub.raiden has a 45% b2 starter in the corner with 1 bar as well which can end with a hard knockdown as well
please post a vid link then, ive done a 47% with two bars but not a hard knockdown which id take over the 2%-3% to put them back in the 50/50thunder god raiden b2 is 48 one bar in corner
Why would anyone ask for that? I mean they could lower is frame advantage a bit so he can always get D1 check. But no revert his buffs to garbage tier again. Let him keep his tools so he can compete.should be banned to use against the 6 characters who can't poke out that's all
hopefully some of his buffs gets reverted...
I dont get It though if nrs wanted to removedblock infintes why give faster pokesPeople tried to justify why Quan didn't need a faster d1 to avoid infinites.
Just throwing it out there.
2,1 providing a restand was really all he needed, the frame changes were too much. Why would anyone ask for that? I mean they could lower is frame advantage a bit so he can always get D1 check. But no revert his buffs to garbage tier again. Let him keep his tools so he can compete.
Giving faster pokes means the block infinites arent block infinites anymore.I dont get It though if nrs wanted to removedblock infintes why give faster pokes
a block infinity loop is a loop which never give you the chance to start your offese with one of your normals attack after blocking it because it has enough advantage on block to beat any of your normals attack.Thats not true but those options don't work regardless.
I wont argue semantics, the point is the only thing you can do is armor and thats it.a block infinity loop is a loop which never give you the chance to start your offese with one of your normals attack after blocking it because it has enough advantage on block to beat any of your normals attack.
been able to scape with armor, back dash getting hit or xray does not stop it from been a block infinity
I was the one who made the "Should Kabal be banned?" thread in MK9's heyday and almost nobody agreed, lol.We didn't soft ban Kabal and he infinited my main.
Now that I think about it... We talk about bans, but what happens if you manage to pull off a banned tactic in tournament? Do you loose the round, the match, the set or do you get eliminated from the tournament?I was the one who made the "Should Kabal be banned?" thread in MK9's heyday and almost nobody agreed, lol.
But anyway I don't see how this is that much different from Sinestro's banned push block trait, Batgirl's corner tight frame infinite, or Smoke's ridiculously one-in-thousand-likely-to-happen parry glitch.
This. The fact that this character even needed 27 buffs to be considered viable is pretty ridiculous.I voted no and I encourage every Takeda player to learn it and bring it to tournament. It will get patched by NRS, no worries.
He did not need all the buffs for ronin to be viable he was just severely under represented at majors by the people who main him and put in the work. Ronin was very good pre-patch its a shame no one got to see it.This. The fact that this character even needed 27 buffs to be considered viable is pretty ridiculous.
not wanting to lose isnt some hidden agenda LOL these top tournament guys live off of this shit this is their lively hood and they dont want to lose money to a bug or infinite. Not some devious hidden agenda.I voted no and I encourage every Takeda player to learn it and bring it to tournament. It will get patched by NRS, no worries.
Only glitches that crash or make a game unplayable should be banned. Nice examples of game breaking glitches are: Guile's handcuffs (SF2), throw/no damage glitch (MK9).
The Marvel community let all the infinites roll. We didn't ban Cyrax, Kabal or glitch/run jabs (MK2, UMK3,...). In this game we let BS Shinnok and Tanya roll. Funny thing is that this thread is already 8 salty pages long, a thread created by Reo (master Kabal & run jab artist extraordinaire).
Time to abuse training mode instead of whining and bitching on the forums. People of my age had to put coins in a freaking machine to train and we abused the shit out of cheap tactics, one loss on a popular machine sent you to the back of the waiting line. These days you can train and games get patched.
Like Aris said, it is time for the people to stop making all this tech public and bring it to tournament instead of hunting for a few likes or views. Most top players making tech like this public have a hidden agenda, nothing more, nothing less.
I'm not just talking about Ronin. I meant the 27 buffs that affected the character as a whole. He wasn't even the worst character in the roster, but NRS seems adamant to believe that he needed the most help lol.He did not need all the buffs for ronin to be viable he was just severely under represented at majors by the people who main him and put in the work. Ronin was very good pre-patch its a shame no one got to see it.
