Yeah I mean I respect what gta has done but some.folks put it on this pedestal like it's the best game ever in the history of man, I mean it's good to me just nothing groundbreaking. I'd say I'm more impressed with the support for the game lasting this long but there are other games like that such as wow that lasted God knows how long with their expansions. I know that's pc and a just stating games I general that last a while. Red dead is more or less a western gta but similar concept, I could not get into that game anymore than gta. I just need a game that makes my mind think constantly or I'll fall asleep. I guess this is why i prefer something of constant action for my brain like fg, racers, puzzlers, FPS etc.

I'm a bit old lol so my favs are from a little older but I do love alot of newer games from the past 2 decades too. I just hated how cod changed for a while there, but I def want to try the new one from what I'm hearing.

Halo seems to have disappeared I remember when thstbgame generated so much hype. The new doom looks cool but I just hope they make another quake, big quake fan not so much arena games but the classic ones q1,2 and 4.

I don't even wanna talk about halo, just makes me too sad. All I wanna say is the way the series has been handled makes me no longer care if I own an xbox.

You gotta respect halo because Halo 1 made the xbox and proved consoles could have a good FPS. Halo 2 paved the way for every single online console FPS game. Halo 3 made the 360 a must own and was honestly the last console game for a while to compete with the COD of the same year. Halo 4 was made by people who hate Halo (not making this up) and tried to appeal to COD players. The problem was people already had COD and wanted Halo. To top it all off, Black Ops 2 was Halo 4's direct competition and that game was fucking incredible. I could talk about BO2 and all the memories I have with it all day.

Yeah it's differentthen your typical halo game. I just remembered I have halo collection where I believe they redid the older games. Been forever since I've played it.

Halo MCC is great. If you haven't played the original games you need to. On heroic, that's the best way to play them. Except maybe Halo 2, I play it on normal. After beating it on legendary once that was enough. Halo 2 is definitely the hardest campaign because they were forced to rush it out and they figured out the campaign was too easy so they just made your health insanely low and bumped up enemy damage to crazy levels because they didnt have time to adjust enemy groupings.

Yep halo has been out for a few years by 343 a subsidiary of Microsoft studios.

halo infinite is coming out and will be playable on all current Microsoft platforms I believe

they were also responsible for halo mcc and the pc version as well

I remember loving Halo 1, but not caring much for Halo 2. I thought the weapon balance was off. It felt like most of the multiplayer was dominated by whoever was able to get to the limited number of OP weapons first. I also didn't spend much time playing Halo 2 so I never really knew the maps, so maybe I was just projecting my own issues of inadequacy onto the game.

I think I'm the perfect age to be a COD fan. Black Ops 2 dropped when I was 13 and I have so many memories playing with my friends. First time I got a "girlfriend" was because my other 13 yr old friends bullied me into texting her while playing search and destroy at 1 AM on a school night. And once the mountain dew shit started happening I was once again the exact target audience. I eventually got sick of COD with a few disappointing releases, but like Iv been saying, I love MW 2019. I would imagine guys 5-10 years older than me see the COD mountain dew/doritos and crazy shit as an annoying replacement of what was a gritty somewhat realistic shooter. But I just have fond memories, I was the right age at the right time. Now COD is something new, I like this new game as a young adult, guys who liked the older games like it, and kids are still playing it. So hopefully they found a happy medium to stick with.

Thanks for the info, I just wish they would bring back the 4 player offline mode multiplayer. Back in the day my friends and I used to have so much fun with 4 player SS. Pizza, drinks and gaming fun times.

It's the first COD I bought since BOP1. It has the best COD campaign to date. The sound design is S Tier and the weapon recoil makes the game so satisfying. That and the PC version looks crazy good (I recommend playing it on PC). Playing it on 2k at 80-90 fps with RTX On is so good. Crossplay is also good, and I tend to play Coop with my brothers that own a PS4, so the Coop missions are fun and intense. Back when I was at my parents' at christmas I hooked my PC along with my brothers' PS4 and it's a blast.

Yeah I know right? Especially when they're the same exact game over and over with updated rosters. Baseball and Hockey are better because they're more work to score.

Interesting. I remember reading something about the studio changes but didnt realize how big an impact that had on the series. I think dankster said something about the people who made halo 4 hate halo or something?

I agree about the good times with halo 2 back in the day, that's how I felt with modern welfare 2 loved the stages in that game.

NRS, like most companies nowadays, are good at hyping the game up. So it’s no wonder it sold a lot and turned out to be a huge letdown. Of course, MK fans helped with this as we were going to get it anyway, but the game mechanics and no-brainer combos of course appealed to the casual termites that weaveled their way into buying the game as well which was probably 80% of the sales, not us.
