Because it's extremely overpriced if it's not a full season pass. The base game costs $60. If it's $40 for one Kombat Pack then two Kombat Packs would be $80. More than the base game. Which makes no sense because no way does two Kombat Packs include more content than the base game. This will be grossly overpriced if this is true. I expect something like this from EA or Bethesda, but this is a new low for NRS. How can they justify two Kombat Packs costing more than the base game? In that case it's better to wait 12 months for the Komplete Edition and get the base game plus both Kombat Packs for half the price you would pay otherwise.
Consumers want to reap the rewards of vastly more expensive video game production than ever before, but still only want to pay between $50-$60 for the game. This is what games cost TWENTY years ago!
Fine, so they still charge you only $60 for the game, but offer completely optional additional content or options for profit. There is absolutely no reason for people to complain here, unless they want these companies to start charging what they SHOULD be charging for a typical modern game, which is roughly between $105-$150,depending on production costs.

Of course we ask for more content in our video games, the companies that made the games have the ressources to create larger games each time, while the ressources of the average player to buy them remains the same. That's the way it should be. They create larger, better games and they try to sell more than the previous one. Don't say that companies suffers because of these prices because it's just not the case. GTA V developement costed $265 millions yet they managed to get the money back only with the pre orders (at $60/copy) and now it's one of the most profitable game in history.

Would you complain if a theater would charge you $25 to watch the next Avengers ? Of course you would complain ! But you know, the last Avengers costed around $321 millions, and Disney is probably in bankruptcy by the time we are talking, right ? So they need to raise the price. Oh they still managed to make 2 billions out of this movie, nevermind.

Yet, I don't really know what's the average cost of a movie theater ticket in the US (I'd say $12 ? $13 ?) but in France it's €15-€16 (around $17-$18), it's already expensive for a movie theater ticket, but I'd never buy a movie ticket that is more expensive that it is already is. And that's the same thing for video games, $60 is the standard price for a new video game, if the game is good and has more content than the other one, it will sell more, and it will stay for longer at a higher price, and that's where the companies will make profits. At least it's the way it should be. The companies managed to set the standard starting price for a video game at $60 (even if it's more expensive in Europe, in France a game is €70 at release, around $80) and yet they seems to make LARGE profit from their games.

For the last years, companies tried so hard to offer less content while charging more. And they are successful, because now people are still buying games at full price that offers less content than before. Bethesda tried this summer to sell more while giving less content with Fallout 76 and look what happened. The game is now worth $10 at some game shops, and nobody wants to buy it anyways. It shows that people still have standards (despite being very low), but when you take a succesful series like Call of Duty, look at what they managed to do with Black Ops 4. It is the top selling video game in the US (like the last 10 years) yet the game is emptier and uninspired than all the previous ones. They managed to lower the standards so bad, that in a few years companies could just take a dump into the game box and people would be happy with it.

It's honestly the first time I see someone saying "you should be happy that the game only cost $60", I expected to see it but not before a year or two from now. This is ridiculous.

Do you have any questions for the upcoming @MortalKombat #kombatkast ?
Send them my way using #KombatKastQuestions
There is still a ton of stuff we can't talk about so keep that in mind.
You know after so many years you'd think people would probably know better than to bother asking for character confimations. The actually important questions sometimes can get lost in the middle of that bullshit.

I didn't make a tweet, because honestly, the only thing I'd like to know is whether or not Jade is on the roster. However, I also know that's not something they can answer and I just have to be patient and wait and see. :p
