even though we're already only weeks away, given how slowly nrs likes to dribble out info, i'm not setting my expectations too high in regards to new stuff. I'm hoping for loooooots of good kabal footage, maybe a look at what the preset variations for the reveal chars will actually be (assuming they've got that stuff nailed down in whatever build they're demoing), maaaaaaaaaybe a look at kitana or liu kang or someone like that.

He said the first one will be a little longer so I’d imagine he’s going to get the mechanics and a new character or two in. The next few shows might just show a character or two like you say. Then they will get into modes in stuff.

They know what they are doing. It was weird with mkx because we would go months without seeing one. Mk11 will be out in a few months. They don’t have the time to do what they did with mkx. They learned from their mistake.

Fair, I'm just pessimistic and burned out after the 7-month drought for each of the last few games. there's really no way to make it to release without showing hella characters this time around though so i don't have much to actually worry about.

What if they showed the entire roster including DLC on the select screen, then every kombat Kast was a guess to see which one we finally see gameplay for?

Honestly, I don't think the meter burn change is necessarily a bad decision. The community may have jumped to conclusions that it's bad, and if NRS describes why the change would be positive then folks might end up preferring their solution over the block button. That's why I think it'd be a great topic for the Kombat Kast.

NRS is definitely going to reveal everything before launch, so don't be too concerned about it, but I really doubt it's going to be right now.
For reference, the MKX Kombat Pack 1 was revealed about 1 month before release.

1: Ensure us that dashing will be sped up.

2: Tell us WTF "Input Window Timing" does in the control options menu. It's defaulted to "slow". No one seems to be able to answer this question for me. I have an idea, but I'm not sure how it affects the gameplay. Does it affect the combo string inputs or the special moves or both?

Everything else is all good since we know a lot of the gameplay mechanics from the reveal.

Yeah Fighter Pack 1 was revealed 1 week before release, with pretty much every other character except Hellboy and TMNT being heavily teased at from the silhouettes. One week, one month, whatever it is I truly don't think it'll be now. But rest assured it will be before launch

I'm not reading all that, but I did notice you didn't want Tyler doing the gameplay reveal. Since Bit and Dizzy started at NRS, Tyler hasn't been doing that part, so I wouldn't worry about it. Dude, I couldn't agree more. Imagine picking up the game tomorrow only knowing the 7 characters who were at The Reveal. It would be incredible. There's just no way to do it this day and age. You'd have to go completely off the grid, including texts from friends and what not.

There are no secrets anymore.

I cannot explain the feeling I had as a kid when I walked into the arcade and saw the MK2 cabinet. First off, I didn't even know the game was coming out. Secondly, when I fired up that select screen I was blown away. Reptile is playable now? Shang Tsung is young again AND playable?!? Who are these female ninjas?!?! Holy shit I'M LOSING MY MIND.

A lot of companies does this, it may be not the case for MK11, but this does exist. The DLC characters are probably decided at the same time as the base roster, they already have the designs and a rendered cinematic that includes them but I don't think all the DLCs will be ready at the release of MK11 (except Shao Kahn of course)

I also want all the DLC characters to be revealed at the announce of the Kombat Pass, I hate when Season passes are just revealed like "Get the pass for X new maps/characters" but nothing else. Just tell me what I'm about to buy. I didn't buy the I2 character pass because of this.

They’ve already stated, in numerous interviews, that they have planned a specific rollout of content before launch. I don’t think a thread like this will sway them too much.

- Don't spend much more time on the characters already revealed. We have enough to chew on between K&M's game play breakdowns, the exhibition matches, and other content creator videos. Devote the first stream to new characters and content reveals as well as fan Q&A

- Show more game play, or at least footage, for the "hinted" characters, i.e. Kabal, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Cassie, and Kitana. Especially Cassie, because it feels like half the internet is freaking out about her new look (even though we've only seen her angry expression) and speculating about her move set/combos after Sonya got her flip kick and run has been removed

Yes and yes. I'm not pre-ordering until I see Cassie's gameplay. I lied, I'm waiting until they fix her face.

man!! i remember that moment too! not to mention figuring everything out by word of mouth or having to wait for game magazines to publish... so fun!! When people knew certain fatalities and crowds were seeing them for the first time, it was such a neat experience.
