MLG commentary

It's got to be Tom Brady he is by far the most knowledgeable player and as long he doesn't get distracted by the stream chat or starts ranting ( and that's goes for everyone ) he will be the best man for the job. And for the second commetator i'd like to see DarkRob, BeerGuyED or Dink.

Hito will always be my first pick, but I think Pig is a fantastic commentator. He's not too hype, not too boring, it's just kind of... Chill commentating. He's also got dat radio voice, and I think that's a HUGE asset for any commentator (one no one seems to take into consideration, at that). Under the Mayo and KT Smith definitely have the radio voice going on as well, so as long as they could prove they're up to commentating at a professional level, I think they'd be really well suited to it.

Pig Of The Hut Seemed to biased to me, but presents himself in a professional manner and unquestionably can get hyped up over a match.

Medina4life Very solid, wouldn't mind seeing him commentate. Seems to know what he is talking about and energy doesn't seem to be a problem even at hour 12 of a 13 hour stream.

Tom Brady A roll of the dice basically, He knows so much about the game and is capable of unbiased commentary but he is a drama queen and sometimes you get shit like "Maaaaaan, Raiden is sooo good the input bug doesn't affect him, I could get a 1,000 and just shake it off." I say if Brady commentates he shouldn't be playing in the tournament.

Hitoshura Very good, just don't like the idea of hearing "Jello ball, onion rings, squirtlesquirtlesquirtle" over top 8. Sure he could work on that for MLG and he would be fine.

"I had to get up and take a walk at one point."

Rattlehead's list is the best. However, I disagree with some of his comments on Phil. He doesn't scream or anything, true, but man is he a good commentator. Would be happy with anyone on Rattlehead's list.

Phill is a casual commentator, I'm sure for MK2 he is fantastic, but I just don't feel like he would be a great fit for an MLG commentary event. We need an Aris/Ultradavid in this community, without all the harassment and the copyright lawsuits.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I guess it's just personal preference, because I tend to get annoyed with the guys who get "too" hype/start yelling, etc. Unless it's Yipes...

That can be applied to anyone really.
Again... Brady said it best... this is a pro event... and I'm sure whoever does it will present the matches as such. I don't know why it really even matters to be honest. If the person is hype, knows whats going on and can add to the match without getting in the way, then that is all we can ask for.

LOL, there is a reason I didn't list Sabin. I don't want jumping out of your seat mindless yelling for 2-3 hours in top 8. I just want something like the EVO top 8. That in my opinion is the golden standard we should aspire to.

well that makes no sense to me either you are lying or the guy who said that had something againt dink which you obviously do.
dinks commentary was perfect at FR. he didn't just call out every move he saw he talked about the matchup and what each person needed to do to win he wasn't bias and he has a good sense of humor.

I thought he did a fine job as well. Not sure why somebody would have a problem with him.

65% of altaire's posts start out with some variation of "When I was talking to __________"

i've seen/heard dink commentate 2-3 times and he always does a decent job

I don't care who commentates as long as they are entertaining and know how/when to interact with the stream and when to talk about the innards of a match. I like Phil or Hito. Medina is also an excellent choice as I thought he did a fantastic job at FR. Dink is good on commentary as well. Great mix up of match up knowledge and humour plus it would represent other areas than the north east.

I never hear him question strategies or giving input on what they could have done or what they need to do to take control of a match. That is what we need for MLG not "That's F3, that move is good." no offence to Phill though, I actually enjoy his commentary every thursday night but he seems far to casual to commentate a major.
