Holy shit. More pages than i remember. Guys, i've been moving to another country into a new house. Have been pretty busy lately. So i haven't played the game for a couple months so i'll have to update the thread alot later.

Lol, really old comment. But...Practice makes perfect. Keep trying to do it. How are the double bombs not working for you?

So I haven't touched the game in months probably but I keep watching K&M put out content and Mustard consistently goes for lower damage combos 23-25% into mix. Lots and lots of mix. How viable of a playstyle is that for Cyrax?

One of my problems with Cyrax has always been doing high damage combos that require execution and lots of memorization. Does doing shorter combos into mix have that much of a success rate?

Speaking specifically for online play only, short comboes into knockdown and mix has a great success rate. This usually works because 1) Cyrax mains are rare so the matchup knowledge isn't there 2) a lot of people panic when they get caught with dd3 b3d4.

9/10 times I don't even need to use hard knockdowns to get the mix going because most people's first instinct is to try and block it rather than tech rolling/backdashing/armor/jumping forward etc.

very nice, its kinda like the 55% one you showed a while back. is this one the same amount of frame links and am i correct in saying it can only be done Oh to Low effectively? since you want the Launch from the low bomb right?

Ohh how i wish you had an Xbox the fun i could have playing Cyrax vs your Cyrax. I could imagine the hype matches we could have and how much cool shit you could tech me in Practice and Sets. :(

I've actually gotten a bigger reset since that video was posted.

I'm not even sure why I'm allowed to do two NJPs honestly. If you look at the 2nd combo in the reset, the first two hits are NJP and bomb... the 3rd hit is another pop-up NJP.

Does the game think that they never left the ground from the first NJP, and that's why it allows a 2nd NJP?

yeah i know add it to the Long list of Cyrax glitches after 3-29.


whats your best corner combo? @Bruno-NeoSpace and i would like to know?

This guy Had me scared to even do an HTB, got out of all of them, i had to win by chip. GG's


@Apex Kano add this guy up. and see how your Commando does against his Cyrax? see if you have more problems then with my Cyrax?

I'm honestly not sure if it's a glitch. Maybe it lets you do a 2nd NJP because the 1st NJP hits him while he's on the ground and it's the bomb that launches him up? I dunno.

My best corner combo? Do you mean metered or meterless? Meterless is around 30%. 1-bar is 40% from a bomb/B3D4 setup. I have a 2-bar 45% corner combo, but I rarely use it.

There is no training mode on the PC Beta to test the combos but the best corner combos that i've been using are these:


Meterless: something - net - air bomb - F4,3 - teleport backwards - NJP - B2 - S4 - 1,1,4 - short ground bomb or saw

Meterless after the short ground bomb: B3,D4 - jump back punch - run - 2,1 - 2,1 - 1,1,4 - short ground bomb or saw

One bar after the short ground bomb: B3,D4 - jump back punch - run - 2,1 - 2,1 - 1,1,4 - EX saw - B2 - NJK - short ground bomb

EX saw: something - EX saw - NJP - B2 - S4 - 1,1,4 - net - short ground bomb - dash forward - 50/50 or NJP

When the MKXL releases on PC, i'll study and make a compilation of the best combos and setups of Cyrax, the same way that I did to Dualist Liu Kang:

On the second set-up you can do uppercut after the bomb-saw combo and do F13 close bomb, its more plus and safe. Think i did 40% aswell with an easier frame set-up of 114ex saw - NJP - jump kick - 21 - 114 net - CHB - DB1 - Walk back - D2 - F13CB

B3,U4 corner combos:

Meterless: B3,U4 - Air Grab - 1,1,4 - Net - Close Air Bomb - Regular Saw - walk back a little bit - D2 - Run - F1 - Regular Saw (+16 hard knockdown) (33%)

1 bar: B3,U4 - Air Grab - 1,1,4 - Net - Close Air Bomb - Regular Saw - walk back a little bit - D2 - Run - F1 - EX Saw - late NJP - Close Ground Bomb - B3,D4 (meaty setup) (34%)
