Trust me. It will change. Shang can re-morph back into Mileena almost instantly because the player was already charging hp for the sai. You don't see it in casual matches because people aren't trying to do whatever it takes to win.

Thing is, Shang is still vulnerable when he morphs. If someone wants to morph into top tier all match, they can be tracked down and dealt with.

How about banning top tier morphs, UNLESS your opponent is using their top tier character, then you can morph into all?

Ththuvhul man why don't you hear other people ideas I think your being a little stubborn here.Really cmon allowing shang to morph into anyone people is going to abuse that and switch right to Mil or Jax. I think i had a good point and i feel like most people would agree with me to make this tournament more enjoyable . Without the notions from other indivduals and people who have been playing and understanding the game waaaay longer then you. I think you should be more open to our suggestions. I'f you don't start cogitation on other people thoughts i don't believe this tournament will be as enjoyable as you think. But in the end i guess it's your tournament and you call the shots right now.

Most people will use Lao and Kitana instead of Shang anyway I think.
I can assure you no one is going to win this tournament by picking Shang and morphing into top tier 100% of the time. It would be too predictable, and their opponent would punish them when Shang morphs back and forth.

That said, I wanted to respectfully give my opinion- and it's Ththuvhul/Bill's call. I'm not using Shang in the tournament, and I really could care less whether my opponent morphs or not. Most times I'd love if they turned into Jax as he's easier to attack than Shang

Alright, with Ththuvul's blessing it's time to put a definitive end to this point about morphing.

As a compromise, morphing will be allowed for any character except top tier. If you accidentally morph into top tier, you forfeit that round. If it happens a second time, Shang is declared dead and that player must move up to the next tier. Period.

I suppose every character benefits from MKAK's faster speed to an extent. Shang could be at the top of that list like you say though. Many times I'll be buffering the fan raise anticipating a jump-in from Shang. Somehow he jumps so fast that I get JKed before the fan comes out LOL.

Faster uppercut response, and the inability to sweep under descending jump kicks will also make one hesitate. I think Shang is close to top tier in mkak. anyone using him who knows fireball tactics will get kit or lao.

The tournament as you see it is just because i listened to all of you.

Blackout was one of your great inventions for MK2! Very happy to see it being incorporated in a tournament.
