Post all your wildest MK12 theories and wishes here.
Honestly, I hardly care what they do with fatalities; they're so boring now. I'm more interested in seeing what new Brutalities they have, and PLEASE make them all available from the start so we can actually see them during offline events.I'm really curious how they are going to handle the gore. Mk11 was already crossing the line for a lot of players; even the artists were having a rough time with it. I'm wondering if they are going maintain making it as realistic as possible, or if they will be taking a step back to make it less realistic or more cartoony. I love a good fatality, but I really hated the ones with intestines and detached eyeballs.
I was literally thinking earlier, I really miss having secrets in games. In the old days, if you didn't have a guide book, you might not even know the inputs for special moves. That's one thing we'll never get back thanks to the internet.Honestly, I hardly care what they do with fatalities; they're so boring now. Back on Fatalities, it's not gonna happen, but I would like to see the return of secret Fatalities and Fatalities with difficult inputs/conditions. For me, Fatalities are mostly boring because they require no effort. It's just a waste-of-time cutscene at the end of a match instead of something gameplay-related.
Imagine Mortal Kombat having a tournamentI hope we are done with U.S military bases and guns taking over the plot... I'd love to see more of Outworld and its denizens, instead of more military brats.
Meat should totally be an unlockable character. Nobody would complain because he'd be terrible for tournaments.I want unlockable characters. I know they're a chore for tournaments, but I miss them. Maybe a tournament mode where all the fighters are unlocked
I'm very curious on these details as well. My thinking is that if it's running on UE4/5, then it's going to be exclusive to newest gen consoles. Which would leave me stranded.I'm very curious what engine is being used this time around. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate was still Unreal Engine 3, so curious if they'll be using that again, going with Unreal Engine 4, or right to 5.
Will it be current generation only, is last gen being supported? Will there be a PC version and will it again launch alongside the console versions?
The game was "accidentally" leaked by WB during an earnings call.Did I miss something - has there been an announcement?
You’re in a great place right now with this series, where people love the cinematic storytelling and the fighting mechanics are in a really tight place right now. But I’m also wondering what lessons you think you and the team have learned from
Mortal Kombat 11. What do you think were your biggest takeaways there?
There’s a whole bunch of micro decisions, like little moments that happen [in a fight] where what should happen when you break a combo, or the mechanics of a wake-up attack. We change the game every time. Like for MK 11, we didn’t have a run like Mortal Kombat X had. At the end of every game we do a postmortem [where we look at]: What was great? What could have been better? What should we not bring back? Sometimes we don’t bring something back for the big picture of being different. MK X had character variations, and then 11 had create-your-own-character variations. But when we do another game, we probably won’t have character variations. Even though it did well, it’s time to move on to the next thing. So there’s a bunch of little micro decisions that we make.
If it's on Unreal Engine 4, that's supported by last gen consoles so it's possible there's be a last gen version. Obviously time will tell.I'm very curious on these details as well. I have a PC capable of running it, but the PC player base is so tiny in comparison to consoles. PC would need to be included in cross-platform, which I doubt they'd do. Least not in ranked.
Nice, what's your system specs? With Sony's first party titles now being time-exclusives at best, going PC really is the best way to go.I really wish we're going to have actual crossplay on PC and consoles, because I just built a PC and don't want to spend money on a PS5.
I hope it's removed, personally. I prefer proper kombos.I hope they improved the krushing blow system if they kept it. I would want it to be more interesting than Geras but less ridiculous than Johnny's. But Liu's air fireball or Shao's taunt off felt rewarding.
Ryzen 7 5800-X, RTX 3070. Should be goodNice, what's your system specs? With Sony's first party titles now being time-exclusives at best, going PC really is the best way to go.
Yee dude. I like brutals cause they're quick and at the end of a string or special move and don't take forever typically. But when you're playing a long set with someone like that's just a big ole waste of time.As far as fatalities go, I don't even care if they're in the game or not.
My finishing move of choice? D1 or D4 and ON TO THE NEXT. lmfao
