I wouldnt blame anyone. Its really weak. Feels like theyre rushing to an ending for this trilogy when they should have started a reboot to continue off of. But, theyll be another dev on the reboot/tread the same water for eternity loop.

But hey, its a fighting game, not a tv series like GoT or an anime or anything.

I see what they were going for, with Raiden redeeming himself by merging with Liu Kang. But I'll be honest, I don't find a story that focuses on the same old characters in the same old situation we already saw before to be very interesting.
