It’s like if you play on two different monitors your combos may require different timing from delay.
Online you loose frames,that’s y shit becomes safe.
Try doing kanos 241+3 b3 f3 online, the f3 will miss 99% of the time, not cause of delay or lag but cause it drops frames. It’s a basic easy combo but he is not in the air when u go fir f3.
I could see that. I've also had a rough time trying to get anything going against Skarlet. At range, it's no contest; Kano has no choice but to work his way in. However, her normals and strings totally outrange his b4, b3, and f1, utterly countering his usual tactics. I'm sure once people learn to start exploiting her gaps it won't be quite as lopsided, and his Parry actually works really well against an aggressive Skarlet, but overall it felt like a difficult, tedious matchup.I think sub is his hardest matchup,
I realized that I missed one big thing (my bad), due to being too used to street fighter mechanics. In MK11, you can cancel dashes with normals, and I was previously testing my setups assuming that I let the entire dash play out (a la SFV). If you dash and cancel into b4, that gives you another solid knockdown tool. Prevents people walking back and waiting for a jump, etc., and is better than b3 for catching back walk / back dash imo. I don't love using b3 pre-emptively because it leaves you right next to the opponent at negative frames. B4 gives you enough pushback that you're basically at neutral.Thanks dude! I had not tested his regular forward throw or ex command grab into dash d1, those options are def quite solid (especially for forward throw) and that’s very helpful to know.
I still think non amplified command grab (and b4) oki options are not very good relative to what other characters get though (Kollectors options seem significantly better for example, and he’s not even considered especially strong to my knowledge?). Kano’s jump is extremely floaty and can definitely be d2 on reaction. Opponents ducking on wake up and hitting d1 if you dash or d2 if you jump shuts down most things other than b3 or f3 (unsafe). B3 is a fine option but not particularly scary.

I use full combos and counters since it was obviously the best setup for every character in INJ2. Counters buff "whiff punishing" so the computer should be doing some magical reactions and input reading level footsies. Doesn't seem so OP like it was in INJ2 (lol instant armored move reaction to random buttons) but it gets the job done.Anyone have the secret sauce for a good Kano AI fighter?
