That's the topic you're responding to, not every you is a specific you, general you's exist
No, I was responding to you specifically about the character having their iconic move set, and pointing out that in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, he's technically missing one of his iconic moves.

And while general you's exist, you're quoting me specifically, thus conversing with me specifically.

I did read the conversation, which is why I quoted a very specific part of it to highlight what I was commenting on.

Considering you're having comprehension issues in multiple threads, you may want to take a step back.

Right you were commenting on him not having a single move in the context of me saying he had his iconic moveset to someone who didn't enjoy his gameplay. So unless you thought his clone being missing would prevent someone from not being able to enjoy the character why bother adding that? Turns out you were wrong and that wasn't the reason the user disliked him the user actually had no logic behind their preference, so wasn't really necessary contribution was it?

And I literally phrased it as a question, but I'm the one with comprehension issues, right... So I never said you said you didn't like him.

"So you dislike an entire character over one move not returning?"

No, I was commenting that he didn't have his full iconic move set. Period.

Why bother adding that? Because it's an interesting point, as some people missed that move (I personally didn't).

I was not commenting one way or the other about people liking the character or not. You made an assumption and have decided to pick a fight over it, and refuse to let go even when your assumption has proven false.

I didn’t play as him in either MKX or MK11. Just pointing out that Ice Clone kind of became an iconic move for him which really defined the character in MKX.
I am deeply sorry for saying he had his iconic moveset when he was missing a single move and apologise for this awful mistake that wasn't even relevant to the actual user I was talking to.

I clearly should have said Sub has 99% of his iconic moveset, and I am literally braindead for not being specific and can never recover from such an error please get the fire extra hot for my public burning
So show me where I said you said that.

We all die alone. So love yourself before you go.
the kameo thing is mk1's version of variations.... variations btw have been around since the 3D era... it is nothing new...
I know that, but there was a difference between the variation system in 3D era MK and MKX and XI. In the 3D era you could easily switch during the fight, in X and XI you just had a limited moveset divided into 3.

To me the characters felt stale because of it, but that’s how I feel.

Because it’ll promote actually playing the game. It incentivizes players that may not be all that interested in the PvP to give it a shot. And with the rewards also being tied into the tutorials and trails and all of that, it’s essentially giving you everything you need in order to level up. Not just leveling up your character, but your skills.

The SP grinding for stuff did absolutely nothing alternatively beneficial for you. It was simply a boring grind against the boring robot AI. Not only is it extremely difficult to level up that way, it’s not even fun.

Games NEED to incentivize playing online against other players in PvP. Because the natural incentive of just wanting to get better because you like the game doesn’t do it for a lot of players, and it certainly doesn’t do it for players who have no real interest in PvP.

This is often overlooked by a lot of people deep into these games... in that a HUGE portion of players never play online vs at all. They play arcade, and maybe some vs locally with family.

This is a screen shot from a thread on the SF6 steam fourm called "First ever fighting game, likely to be my last"... and the truth is THIS is the most common user case for the average fighting game player. They get it, they screw about in the minimal SP stuff, usually only arcade and traing mode, go online and get roflstomped, loosing 100% of their games and never play online again.

This is why MK is so popular. As people on this site can complain about the towers and the grind and all that all day, but it is the exact single player content that makes MK so popular. It is the SP that drives sales. Those towers in MK11 was WHY the game was popular.

I'm all in favor of having tutorials, trials, and even having exlcusive content to be unlocked only through online playing is a great way to incentivise people to play online PvP and get better. I also think having a good lobby system and online ranking can help with that. And that's great.

I also think it's ok though for people to enjoy a game how they want to enjoy it. Some people just want to mess around in a story mode, and then maybe play some trials or practice mode to see if they can learn some cool combos, and have fun unlocking stuff against an ai, with no need to compete against a human.

To be honest, sometimes I'm that person. My favorite part of fighting games is learning how the game works, learning a character, theorizing about their moveset and possible strategies, going into practice mode and seeing if I can learn or get better at their combos. One of my least favorite things to do is actually play other people.

What's the point of a random Krypt?
I clearly should have said Sub has 99% of his iconic moveset.
Only one of his 4 Iconic moves is missing, counting IceBall, Slide, Ground Ice, and Ice Clone. Most of the other specials he has now are new, and most of the other ones missing are not really iconic. So you should've said 75%.
