You’re bringing up legacy so what about scorpion and his spear? Nightwolf and his axe? Sindel and her scream. Hell even Kitana can’t combo from her fans.
Lao still combos off spin, Kitana still combos off lift. I'm not trying to play this stupid game with you. All I was saying is some characters still have their legacy launchers, so it wasn't a lack of sense to wonder if Mileena's ball would still launch

Idk man quite a few people agree with me lol and you’re the one who said “fuck this game” because she has to spend a bar to launch...something nearly everyone has to do. So I’m not sure where your mind is at lol but go off

Although I knew it wouldn't happen, I was also hoping her ball roll would combo meterlessly. I dislike requiring meter to combo; it reminds me too much of Injustice. I prefer to spend my meter on powering up moves or changing properties. Requiring meter to combo just feels too restrictive, personally.

Anyone who thought her ball roll would combo meterless in this game has no sense lol. You could’ve seen that a mile away that it wasn’t happening.

I’m using v1 one tho. That’s the closest thing to piercing and I love zoning while counter zoning
I figure I'll go with Variation 2, at least to start, as it's the closest to Ravenous, which was my fav Variation previously.

Variation 2 looks great also. I’m not really a command grab kind of guy and I love my zoning, so v1 was screaming at me. I was a piercing main back in MKX so v1 is really bringing me back lol

I like zoning as well, but I tend to favour more aggressive play and like being close in on my opponent. I had so much fun with her Ravenous Pounces, we'll see how it goes here.

Of course, I agree with you that zoning is much stronger in this game, so perhaps I'll switch in time, or simply play both.
 
Low sai, string extensions and slide sounds like a lot of fun. Though we should expect 1-2 more moves, right? Since most characters have 10-11 abilities

I keep rewatching her Ball Roll, and I swear, you'd have to put a gun to my head to convince me we can't squeeze SOME sort of meterless foolishness out of it. At least something in the corner, bare minimum. I'm not talking about her meterless MKX damage, but something. Even just D1 into another Ball Roll.



Every time I watch it, I feel my hands instinctively try to go for the D1 conversion. Just teasin' me, I swear. If it can anti air, that might pop them up high enough for some real meterless combos, but we'll have to wait and see.

EDIT: Also, am I going nuts, or does that tracking Ground Sai KB leave you stunned for a full combo?



I wonder how much unbreakable damage that can lead to. Maybe replace the invisibility in that variation with her slide and you're maybe looking at a >30% unbreakable combo. Not bad, if true.

That'll depend on the move's on-hit recovery though. You simply may not be able to do an input until after your opponent is on the ground.
