Yep the game widly known as being a game that is favored and a top game on xbox above all else...."IGN isn't a biased source."
Yea? Don't they give every CoD games a rating of 9?
But the poll isn't skewed in favor of xbox...Yep the game widly known as being a game that is favored and a top game on xbox above all else....
Good point this poll is obviously skewed in favor of xbox...

Yeah exactly...that was kinda my point...But the poll isn't skewed in favor of xbox...
"IGN isn't a biased source."

So, what you apparently understood from my post was that IGN is a biased source... let's talk about why we come to this conclusion...IGN is not a biased source. It had fanboys of both sides in it. Both fanboys can vote in it. Its very clear, that PS4 is winning.
So, what you apparently understood from my post was that IGN is a biased source... let's talk about why we come to this conclusion...
Because you read with goddamn blinders on and only hear what you want to hear. IGN being a biased resource is not even close to what I actually said.
The argument was how there's extreme bias within the POLL and among the VOTERS. Try to realize that fans are more involved and often times hell-bent on pointing out when something is wrong rather than right. Consider the more short-minded majority of buyers. You know, the ones who pre-order months in advance even before all the information has been presented. They are the people who hate DRM without stopping to investigate possible long-term benefits for all parties within the video game industry. They are the people who immediately view the trending public opinion that the X1 has failed as cold hard fact without understanding anything about business or technology, and most importantly, they are the people proactively VOTING.
A true survey takes a random selection of a population. The IGN poll isn't that because it invites those who have a predetermined opinion. So of course the fanboys flock.
I'll continue to defend my stance that both consoles are worthy competitors, but I couldn't care less about voting on an opinion poll that serves no purpose beyond a popularity contest. Die-hard PS4 fanboys can smugly click away, thinking they're sticking it to Microsoft, meanwhile most of the general Xbox population probably doesn't give a shit.
Unless Xbox won the poll...then its science...So, what you apparently understood from my post was that IGN is a biased source... let's talk about why we come to this conclusion...

You can be sure that if xbox was the popular choice in the same population of voters that fookdagook is refering to, they would of course claim it to be science like JaredL is doing. This thread would probably be named "Sony Respond To Concerns Over PS4" as well, and the PS4 haters would flood the thread with Sony memes. This would be in a world where Sony went a controversial direction with their product and Microsoft focused on best possible specs and doing more of the same (What has given success so far). We don't live in such a world though, so I don't really know why you say stuff like "Unless Xbox won the poll...then its science...".Unless Xbox won the poll...then its science...

I didn't say Xbox fans aren't voting. I said the majority interested in participating in the poll are the PS4 fanboys (not even calling you one.. but it's undeniable that they exist) who have more incentive to vote. Taking social behaviors into account, human nature has shown that people long to be part of a group, especially one that is on the right side of the fence, and PS4 fanboys are clearly interested in voicing their 'triumphs' and establishing that they contributed to the death of Xbox, by voting. Like I said, even as an X1 supporter, I am uninterested in voting in a poll that doesn't lead to anything as a result. It's this kind of social media coverage that turns people into stubborn and ignorant trend followers over smart decision makers. You are so deluded that you think that xbox fans are not voting? Why? You have no reason to doubt it.
Well, since I also listen to Sony, I guess that makes me a X1 and PS4 fanboy. Strange.Well, well done, you believe anything microsoft tells you.

Honestly, the collective bashing of Microsoft's policies has been warranted in some cases (change is never easy, especially with a somewhat spoiled consumer base), but ultimately it's just become the hip thing to do as of late, which can severely attribute to lopsided polls. You don't honestly expect the PS4 to sell over 20x the amount of X1 units, do you? These polls you keep riding on are beyond unreliable, and as I've stated before, speak next to nothing about actual console performance and overall value.

It a very common issue with "polls" and "studies" and "surveys" were the side that won takes the info into account and the other side says it is useless...there are ways to find studies and polls that "prove" anything you want...and the only ones that matter are questions on what already happened...in this case the presale #s ...because all the spinning in the world means nothing except the fact that those are the accual #s at the moment...11/10 studies show this to be mostly true...You can be sure that if xbox was the popular choice in the same population of voters that Saint oP Omen is refering to, they would of course claim it to be science like JaredL is doing. You are implying that the same people who claim that this isn't science would claim the opposite if the tables were turned, which I assure you would not be the case. Some people would though, and it might very well be the same people who are doing it now (Kind of a compliment to the haters, as I believe their bias isn't the deciding factor for their arguments)
I agree, but I stand by my claim that the people pre ordering consoles =/= a representative sample of the entire population that will own a new gen console after christmas, and through out the life span of the ps4 and xbox1. But you are right if course. The facts right now puts ps4 way ahead of the xbox1, but it is not factual proof of what is to come.It a very common issue with "polls" and "studies" and "surveys" were the side that won takes the info into account and the other side says it is useless...there are ways to find studies and polls that "prove" anything you want...and the only ones that matter are questions on what already happened...in this case the presale #s ...because all the spinning in the world means nothing except the fact that those are the accual #s at the moment...11/10 studies show this to be mostly true...

PS: I mentioned your name by mistake in my post. I meant fookdagook
To save you some time and effort.. Debating with JaredL is like talking to a brick wall.. Please do not be fooled by threads title.. It should be "Immature users come here to Bash Microsoft".... Look back a few pages and feel free to address those with an interest in the future of gaming - not everyone posting here is immature, in fact there are some that bring up very good points and arguments to debate..I didn't say Xbox fans aren't voting. Its all good...I will be getting a ps4 at launch because of several reasons why it is a better choice for me and my fam...MS still has a lot to iron out and prove to me...but it don't mean ill never get one...I want them both to work out as compition is good for the industry...I agree, but I stand by my claim that the people pre ordering consoles =/= a representative sample of the entire population that will own a new gen console after christmas, and through out the life span of the ps4 and xbox1. This is actually the most neutral stance per "gamer" one can hope for..and by the press that Microsoft has been getting lately and the microscope they have put themselves under lead me to believe MANY "gamers" will hold this stance- basically until Microsoft can prove otherwise..(ball is in their court)Its all good...I will be getting a ps4 at launch because of several reasons why it is a better choice for me and my fam...MS still has a lot to iron out and prove to me...but it don't mean ill never get one...I want them both to work out as compition is good for the industry...

Damn. Can't compete with retorts like that. Careful though, I remember a few kids that got beated up by the playground for saying that kinda stuff.So... are there no Xbox one fanboys to vote? Are they all too stupid to know how to vote?
I don't really have anything to say to this. Just wanted to quote it as your words. It could be that xbox one fanboys are too retarded...
No, this is what I said:You say the vote is biased because it only has PS4 fanboys, but why is that?
As for why:I saidthe majority interested in participating in the poll are PS4 fanboys...
^ Learn how to read. It comes in handy for online discussion. Unless you're only here to spout out your opinion while disregarding all that oppose. They're retards anyway, right?Taking social behaviors into account...
But wait, why won't it sell 20 times more? That's what the numbers indicate. Why are you saying look at the numbers as evidence, while disagreeing with them in the same sentence? Talk about deluded. And of course I don't think it will sell 20 times more, but it will sell lots and lots more. Look at amazon pre orders for heavens sake.
And you say that microsofts changes are warranted in some cases, why? blah de fucking blah blah blah DRM is gay and always online sux blah blah
Fucking idiot.Honestly, the collective BASHING of Microsoft's policies has been warranted in some cases...

Yeah, I think I've just about fully realized how far nowhere this debate is getting. Oh well, I tried. I'm relieved and not surprised that the discussion this place has to offer isn't nearly as bad as the brick wall. I guess as an Xbox1 fan, I must like talking to bricks? lolololol just pwnd myself... Agreed, but then there can also be rationality inJust because something is more popular, doesn't mean that its irrational bias...
I want to be in love with the XB1.. I really do.. But they just keep sticking their damn foot in their mouth at every turn.. Which is why I am waiting at least a year to go next gen..Yeah, I think I've just about fully realized how far nowhere this debate is getting. Oh well, I tried. Agreed, but then there can also be rationality inbiasor preference for something less popular like the X1. Many people have provided their own reasons. There is just a LOT of people saying PS4 is better solely because it's the popular decision as of right now (regardless of specs/whether the PS4 is truly better or not) and therefore fanboys, casuals, neutrals, whatever you call them, have been trying to see all sides of this thing before a rushed decision. That shouldn't be anything to bash or criticize.
As stated several times throughout this thread, it's really just different strokes. I propose this place adopt "PS4s and X1s" as the new phrase for apples and oranges.
