Locked the previous thread since the op was filled with outdated information and wasn't getting updated, despite there being ongoing discussion of matchups.

EDIT: I have added matchup charts from other members in the Lobo community in separate spoilers.

what? The old thread was outdated and wasn't getting updated since Red Venom doesn't go to the site anymore. This'll basically be the same as the other thread, but getting updated whenever we come to agreement on a matchup.

This is my old matchup chart with some revised numbers. I only posted it because it's the only matchup chart we have for post-patch Lobo. I've went over the chart's numbers in the past, it was made in the Matchup Chart Tier List PM with several top player's opinions factored into it.

lol, it's not as bad since the patch hit. MBB3 taking half damage away makes dealing with Mace Charge easier, it's easier to stuff her wake-ups/deal with her zoning with trait shells. Basically everything we've done before to deal with the bitch got better, so the matchup itself got better (in my opinion, at least).

Do you truly think Lobo has no 7-3 matchups? Screw conforming with the lists of others, what is your opinion?

I once believed Batman and Flash were 3-7's, if that's what you mean. But I've changed my opinion on those two since Batman was made a 7-3 because of the Lobo-specific frame trap which prove to basically not mean much and Flash not allowing you to load trait ever and out damaging Lobo for less resources. I've since went back to the number I had for them before I came to those conclusions because I felt like I kinda overreacted on both numbers. I personally don't think he currently has any 3-7 matchups or 7-3's, but that may change in the future.

Then Lobo looks like a very solid character, I don't understand why people are afraid to get into complex characters, doesn't seem like there's much problem with his viability.

I think Aquaman is 5-5 now. He can't FTD for free anymore and the close game is in Lobo's favor. I generally stay out of/keep out of his b1 range to prevent the mix up game, but he's still in range for my 3 and chain specials, which he can't punish. I really wanna do a FT? with Insaynne offline to test this out.

Most people don't want to work for their wins. They wait for a top player to show them who to play and how to flowchart win. Very little about Lobo is flowchart. That's the reason people avoid him.

which particular match-ups do you believe he wins, and how much of an advantage is he at in the match-up? I personally regret posting my matchup chart if the only replies to this thread will be "your matchup chart is wrong" when it's the only one we have for post-patch Lobo. It might be wrong, but don't just say "you're wrong, Lobo is better than you think, you're downplaying" if you disagree. I want to hear about which specific match-ups I'm wrong about. I want to hear about what Lobo does versus, say, Zatanna, that makes the match-up easier/harder than I thought.

The more I think about but imo Lobo beats Cyborg. I haven't play alot of Cyborgs but if Cyborg starts IAFB, I can sacrifice 8% life for trait load or wait if he messes up his IA's and once I have trait loaded I can hit he him with Nuke Shots. At mid-range I can hit him with low hook or hook charge MB to applie a little pressure and doing his 50/50 after. Either another MB hook charge or MB Toss. Once I get in I think I can bully Cyborg and if he tries to get out with grapple I can punish with standing 3 or if he gets past me I can back in hes face with hook charge (it might even punish). I don't have alot of mu exp. with mu, but thinking about convinces me. Tell me what you guys think.

i played this match with chef last night a bit, and it really seems like shit for Cyborg. We basically don't give a fuck about his zoning, he can't wakeup without getting his shit pushed in, we out-damage him by a VERY large amount both in the projectile game and combos. I want to play this mu a bit more with more experienced Cyborgs before I change the number, but I can see this being 5-5 or Lobo's favor.

Yea definitely. Cyborg can't go crazy with IA's. Damn. The more I think about it... it might be 7-3! Again I only play online and don't run into alot of Cyborgs, let alone decent ones. So take my claim for the mu being 7-3 with a grain of salt. I just want to help out other Lobo players the best I can with some of my input.
