Okay so Im thinking about mastering Kabal's NDC pressure system. Im having such a hard time just doing F3 NDC. Is there an easier way like piano method or something? Im using a PS3 pad. I can do the NDC easily by itself, but linking it is so hard, because you have to be so precise. Any pointers?


Im so positive Im doing the input for the NDC, but it just keeps following through... God this has got to be the hardest thing to master thus far for me.

I can do pretty good NDCs. What I do is I input first the combo string with ND without the cancel then hit B+block as soon as the animation. I put countless hours of practice though before I got it down pretty good.

when kabal f3,3 then ndc and continues to do so how can i get out with sub zero or mileena? can sub zero 22 kabal after he f3, 2? i seem to have a hard time poking out with sub and mileena after f3,2 ndc ...sometime i saw brady 22 master after he did f3,2 at a tournament but the window looks really tight to get that done ...it's hard for me to get out of this pressure with sub and mileena i need some help .. i try to time the pokes d3 or d4 and i still get hit so idk

F32 is +2 on block, F3 is 13 frames, so you have 11 frames to interrupt.

So why is Sub-Zero, Kabal seen as 3-7 if Kabal can't use a substantial part of his pressure against Sub, and zoning pushes him towards the corner, which is where sub wants him anyway? Kabal cannot zone for the entire fight, he has to fight at some point. Same thing against Cage.

Kabal gets to use every pressure option he has against SZ. If you're standing there waiting for a F32 the whole time I might just F3~ndc, B1~ndc, d3, B12~ndc, F32~ndc~saw. Where does that leave you? On the ground, I just got a bar of meter, and you have to work your way back in.

I must have misread the op if Kabal gets to use every pressure option he has against Sub-Zero. wtf?

Sorry, I was wrong saying he has -every- pressure option, but the only thing Kabal can't use against SZ is the 2~ndc. He still has F3 series and B1 series along with F4.

so when do i interrupt? no one is helping me and telling me what i really want to hear i want to see what reo or master d has to say .. can i 2,2 with sub zero out of ndc f,3 ndc, b1,2 ndc? what do i have to do with sub and mileena to get out? and when exactly do i have to do what it is to get out ? cause i know it's a certain timing to do it .. i can't do it just so because i will still be under block stun ... i need this to help me fight kabal ..can some one respond to me answering each and every word of my question pleas ei want to know

I just told you? After F32~NDC you have 11 frames until the next F3, so that's probably a good time to go for the 22 if that's what you want to do.

I was just wondering.... is this whole NC pressure system even possible to do with a PS3 controller? Im havin such a hard time doing it.... I can NDC easily... but to link it o say F2 is so difficult.... It wont cancel...

Okay I just spent 25 minutes in the lab constantly doing F3NDC... I got it twice. What am I doing wrong??? Im not a scrub either :(

So Im getting the hang of this it seems. I pulled it off 4 times in a row a couple times... but Im trying the 5 golden rule lol. The part that messes me up sometimes is probably clicking 4, or not clicking it in my case. Sometimes I click it twice, fucking up my inputs.

without seeing what's going wrong, can't really help you. is kabal doing the dash but not cancelling? is the dash not coming out?

Right now I got it down.. I just need to do it more consistently. Muscle memory is going to be key for me now. The next thing to master has probably got to be mixups and learning the frame data for Kabal... should be easy enough since I already know everyones Bnb/inputs memorized...

I think after completing a combo with the F4 reset and you want to lead into pressure, a D4 NDC immediately after the reset is a good tool. I've been using it more often and most players don't expect something like that from kabal, maybe something like a F3,2 NDC. So incorporating footsies into NDC's has been pretty beneficial to me and i would reccomend it for other kabal players who want to switch up their pressure game. IMO, the 1,1,1 NDC is a great tool for kabal if it connects with your opponent and they are not blocking, and can lead into a grab or sweep if you choose to end your pressure, but on block i've just had opponents poke right out of it and it usually doesn't work that well.

But wouldnt doing D4 ndc leave you at negative frames? why not just D4 and then just take your plus 11 and get a free F3,2 ?

but on an added note D3 is fuckin boss, I use that all the time, it beats alot of pokes and leaves you at advantage, and if they decide to cross up and jump it you recover quick enough to walk under them and F3,2 the other way.

Yup. I use a PS3 controller and Im pulling it off consistently. Cant avoid the occasional fuckups though.

Spent hours of training the input and got a comfortable feel on how to do it. Hardest is the 2 NDC.
