So has anyone noticed f343 has the recovery frames buffer window change from the Ultimate patch? Makes that string in the corner a lot better than it used to be on that alone.

I find myself relying WAYYYYYY too much on b3 shenanigans..I never use 2,1 and just started using f3...Anybody else like this?

I've started using f3 a lot recently with pretty good success. It's been leading to f2 and 2,1 being more succesful. I've been relying too much on b2 for some reason....I think I'm trying to see how they react to it and fishing for a parry KB, which doesn't payoff at all because I never get it.

I always step back after doing a string and do b2 into the ground projectile and I catch about 80% of people with it

Am i the only one who thinks that her B1,2 string should lead to a punish/counter KB? That move is unsafe for no reason and leads to nothing.
 
What more does she need? I do feel like giving her a KB to b1,2 and tweaking her F2 along with making the pole vault KB more accessible would make her extremely solid.
YES YES.....keep going lol. F2....can't we make it 25 frames like sindel's.......doesn't have the same distance as her overhead either. How about making forward 4 1 more useful ? How about shave some frames off the start up of her parry and add a few more active frames OR even better make it holdable. Pole vault KB could be on the 3rd meter burned pole vault. I would love a little more distant on her forward 343.

It's hard to say what, if anything, Jade would need right now other than hitbox fixes on her staff normals.
Delia makes her so solid that she doesn't really "need" anything.
Her risk/reward that I've been talking about has been fixed, so she doesn't really need much else now.

I'd welcome some buffs but she's a tournament pick right now. This is all I really wanted for her.

I really wish that Jaded gets buffed. It seems we only have one version of Jade that can be viable in tournaments. It REQUIRES Delia's Dance and Air glaives. Even then she only seems to be picked as a counter character which is very effective with some match ups. It also doesn't hurt when you have the BEST MK11 player (sonic fox) playing her......he is godly with any character. Yes, I did also see Tekken Master play her. What struck me with Sonic Fox and Tekken Master playing her for several matches was how rarely forward 21 was every used. I think i counted sonic fox attempting(didn't land) a forward 2 twice in total over several matches.....I don't recall TM using Forward 21 at ALL. I also noticed 1 2 4 , while used more then forward 21, was not used very much. It seems like there is only one way you can really play her. Lots of poking with down 4. Lot's of back 2. Lot's of air glaives. Lots of mind games with Delia's Dance. Then mostly using back 343. It's sad to hear the commentators talk openly about her play style being boring/simple and how she really lacks any combo potential. She plays one way and I really hope they make some adjustments although I wont hold my breath. Forward 21 is just to slow....how about making forward 41 more useful as well? How about improving the parry also?

Yup. Jade exists as D1, D2, D4, B343/B3434, glow, dash kick, Delia's Dance, air glaive, and grabs. It all works really well together in tandem as they're great tools, but hot damn does it get boring fast.

There IS always room for improvement but Jade is a controversial character because 99% of the NRS community doesn't lab and hates neutral especially if it's enforced. Jade destroys kangaroo ass scrubplay and kangarooscrubs even stronger characters with air glaive shenanigans.
Her only legit bad matchups are those whose risk reward has no risk component, everyone else is either even or win. The only exception to that rule is Scorpion but I'm not 100% convinced even that isn't just a harsh 5-5. Kinda feels like he shits on Jade by design, to me and to a few Jade Mains I talk to.
Yeah, Parry is trash but it has its uses. F21 is trash but Delia makes it manageable every once in a blue moon.

It's so unfair when characters like Spawn and Joker have the same long range and good mid, but with 3x more combo damage

You can literally cheap them tf out. If you lose to those two with Jade, lab them.
I really do hate the scorpion match up.....the constant teleport threat by air or ground makes me scared to move too freely. The constant jump ins where you must wait to see if they will teleport at the last second is annoying for me personally. I also find cetrion a hard match up. It's hard to chase her down with Jade. Her teleport and her full screen options are so good.
I guess I just wish there was more creativity with how you play Jade. Would like to see back 12, forward 41, 43, and parry being used more(adjustments please). Combos would be nice......I like playing Jaded or custom with pole vault, nitro kick, and low spark but these builds are missing something. I really like the idea of having a full on rush down Jade but at this point it doesn't work well.
Jade does seem to be one of the most hated characters. I get hate messages non stop. If you want to actually win with her why wouldn't you use one of her good tools like air glaive?

Jade is one of the most hated characters as you guys have stated and i can understand why. She can be quite annoying. However, that also goes for more than half of the cast. Now, why jade is hated so much, i have no idea. Honestly i do think shes fine and does well mostly but she CAN use some adjustments. What i would like to see are mostly tweaks to her kit. Nothing more. What i'd do to Jade is:

  • Give her F21 a safe but flawless blockable non launchable option.
  • Give her B1,2 string a counter/punish KB but keep the gap and the negative frames. Right now this string is unsafe, has a FB gap and leads to nothing.
  • Allow us to select the distance of amplified pole vault so we can connect it with strings like B343. Also make the KB requirement something like "amplify 3 times".
  • Remove the gap from amplified vanishing winds.
  • Maybe allow Divine force to be used for combos properly?

I hear things like you can d2 her stomp or you can walk away from it but it's not really working for me.

The only strategy I can manage since my reactions are bad in general is to RUN.....I literally run with pole vault as soon as she jumps up to stomp and keep holding the run until I see her land. I equip the nitro kick that doesn't reverse position so I get to use the kick out of the run when she lands. I also equip the low spark to harass from a distance. You gotta be careful about the ground pound move she has though since it's full screen....you have to time glow good.

The problem with that is if you keep doing that they keep stomping and the whole match becomes this comical chase.

I couldn't agree more with the glow comment. I love how non Jade players get up in arms about glow and act like it gives Jade an 80% damage buff lol. They think it's such an unfair advantage. She has built in weaknesses with the glow. The recovery frames are the most notable since its a risk EVERY time you throw it out. Also, her regular glaive i believe was made purposely shit so that she can't trade regular projectiles with other characters like Lui Kang, Sonya, Kabal, and many others. This projectile "immunity" isn't even immune to several projectiles.

124 has been a useful and fun KB since the beta

B3 is one of the best mids in game.

Wait until Kabal throws a projectile, and then glow.

Rewind has this character in S tier, even Glortor thinks she's good. Character is fine guys, if anything ask for niché custom buffs and make her weaker stuff fun
