Went through pain in azz of running cable through attic and rechecking net stats everything stayed the same other than my dl speed which went way up from 50 to 111mbps. Latency still in 30s at 32 and packet loss still 0. proving Wi-Fi can be good for gaming. you guys just paranoid. At least i dont have the wifi icon now. So hopefully i wont get declined so much.

It only proves at that moment and second that's what ur stats are. It also shows u have no freaking clue what you're talking about. Over the course of 3-5 hours of gaming compare those stats of packet loss to that of wired

I remember asking Paulo for it when the MKX netcode came out, and he basically said Sony was weird about showing that kind of stuff and gave me the impression not to get my hopes up.

If you dont want to play with wireless people you dont have to. Why are people making it a big deal? Its a fighting game and you need the connection to be as clean as possible CONSISTENTLY. Idc if you have 50 ping wireless, if we play a long set will it stay around there? Ive played people on smooth wireless and shit is never consistent for long.

For any other game i dont mind playing people on wireless, but for fighting games i hate it. Does it mean i hate you? No. But dont get mad when a wired person wants to play someone wired. Its not the end of the world.

I deal with this all of the time. Wireless has more latency and packet loss than the equal wired connection. Packet loss and latency are two major factors in gppo performance between two clients. If you're playing on wireless, you are playing on a sub-par connection compared to wired. Its not even up for debate really.
