i live 10 minutes away from gamescom but im not going... just wanted to mention that to piss people off
He looks like he could be a software developer or another IT professional. The adjusted lightning helped aquaman a bit.
he no longer looks like a playdough monster brought to life by dark magics.
Where did you hear that?28 characters according to Boon, sounds good, given the amount of gear each one will have.
Where did you hear that?
and he's already hinted at 10 dlc characters so we have a lot to hope for
10:00 mark. He said "about" 28 characters at launch.
Yeah, Boon said this game would have a greater number of dlc than MKX in past comments. Unfortunately they will come at a premium I bet. If you counted up all the placeholders you can see there are 28 slots but it's nice to hear him confirm that.and he's already hinted at 10 dlc characters so we have a lot to hope for
I don't see how it'd be a "never" thing. Arrow's was unblockable and he had setups fot his. I think one was inescapable. I was thinking you could choose to combo or plant it like rocket raccoon in UMVC3.I understand, but there is no window to tech / escape the second hit (the exploison) if there was, she would never be able to land it, even if the explosion was unblockable.
You have to keep in mind, NRS (attempts to) walks the line between casual and hardcore. They try to make a game that is interesting for button mashers and tournament level players. It is morally commendable, but technically almost impossible. So you have to take the meat with the gristle whichever side of the fence you're on. We get a technical game with a bunch of moves with no competitive use, they get a casual game with a bunch of mechanics they never both to understand.
Capcom gives no fucks about the casual crowd, so even though there are plenty of colorful characters casual players would like to play, they will never win a single round with fang or necalli or karin because they are technical as shit.
Ergo, Cyborg has a shitty trait because somebody at NRS said it would be cool if the robot guy could self repair (cause thats what he does in the comics) but the balance team was like, okay but that's going to be broken as shit in tournament. The compromise? Cyborg has execution heavy IAFBs for us, and a useless healing trait for them.
i doubt 40 but that would be great especially since they are doing heavily fan requested characters. Sub-Zero or possibly a different MK character is a 100% guarantee i think theres a chance Spawn could still happen too since WB had the rights to use him in a game. i really hope its only 1 but im pretty sure theres no way they would do more than 2 in a DC fighting game. i was pretty pissed that MKXL had 4 i would have rather had 4 palette swap ninjas lolIn the end this game will have a min of 38 maybe if we are lucky 40 chars. That would add a lot of longevity to the game that's for sure. I just hope we only have one non-dc dlc char. I really want to this to be a pure DC game. Now back to fantasizing about a Marvel vs. DC by NRS. Hah, sigh....
i wouldnt hold my breath for grundy or banehere's the characters I don't think will make it from inj1 because they can be replaced by character similar or doesn't work in the story etc..
Nightwing (probably will be replaced with red hood unless they want to continue Damion wayne storyline.)
Hawkgirl (could be replaced by hawkman)
Batgirl (for obv reasons)
Scorpion
killerfrost (replaced by cap cold)
catwoman
zod
deathstoke (might be used as a skin)
ares
zatana (replaced with dr. fate)
Some characters I think will return just because their designs are too unique to get rid of like grundy/MMh/bane.
Well, Ed did say it was likely somewhat recently. With all of the other fighters on or heading to PC, it's got to be hard to totally ignore for them.I really hope Injustice 2 comes to PC, I switched to PC gaming and don't regret it but I really do not want to buy a console for 1 game.
There's my girl. Sometimes, just a few tiny tweaks make all the fucking difference.
You won't hear me say they couldn't have done a better job with some of the traits in Injustice. Some of them, like Nightwing and Zod and even Batman were creative and useful and character fitting, most were not even the one's that we found uses for.As for the the healing, I think it could be done much better than the "make the player a sitting duck" option NRS has given us twice. Could be something like Elena in SF4 and cyborg ends certain combos for Less damage to activate it for a small chunk of health back. Maybe make some moves give him health back like Ragna in blazblue.
It is not hard to find the line of logic, Cyborg was (at least intended to be) a zoner, giving him a powerful healing tool would be dangerous to say the least. Again, I'm not saying they didn't blow it given he launched with broken IAFBS but was nerfed into competitive non-existence and never recovered. I'm just saying that most characters in other games that heal do so at the expense of pressure after a knockdown or something. Giving a character like MK9 Kenshi or Kabal or Freddy a healing tool would have been a nightmare even if it was as shitty as Cyborgs.Healing is a strange thing to balance in fighting games but it can be and has been done better besides making it near useless in even the lowest level matches. I mean even the most casual of players must try and use that move and notice how careful they'd have to be.
Sorry can't stand for this SCRUB talk to get through!!!!!!!!!!except batman.
Right, but in the end Batman would still win. Welcome to comics.Sorry can't stand for this SCRUB talk to get through!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway yeah WW has batman beat on every level and he knows it. In fact its a fairly major plot point in the new 52 that Batman has a contingency plan for literally everyone but wonder woman, he just hopes superman would be around to stop her if she goes rogue.
I think we're talking about the same issue from two different sides. So I think we can both agree NRS should do a better job catering to casuals looking to play a DC fighting game and competitive players in terms of overall move usefulness and balance. And I think a healing Zoner could be done. Maybe not any MK9 characters cause from what I hear that balance was a mess. Maybe not even Cyborg. But if you decide a zoner can heal then you should figure out how to actually work that in to that character's game. You won't hear me say they couldn't have done a better job with some of the traits in Injustice. Some of them, like Nightwing and Zod and even Batman were creative and useful and character fitting, most were not even the one's that we found uses for.

Pre-52 his plan for Wonder Woman was utter garbage, writer nerfed flash and Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman fought for 1000 years in Asgard along side superman and DC thor. Lasso deals with illusions + healing factor that not only heals flesh but bones aswell.DWhat I found interesting was Pre New 52 via Towel of Babel he had a plan for everyone including WW I also seem to remember the movie that was based off of it JL doom Batman had a plan in place to poison her make her hallucinate til she gave out, yet i the New 52 he had no plan for her lol.
Yeah lol I hear ya. I think Batman would be better off acquiring some kind of magic amazonian weapon to deal with her similar to him getting Kryptonite vs Superman to at least deal with her, I noticed in TAS they also made her weaker to poisons etc that episode vs. Black Manta's dart lol. Of course WW not nerfed should tank that easily but yeah with Flash especially I've noticed they totally nerf him in a lot of stories, I remember reading in a battle forum once this one guy was so insistent that Spider-Man can beat Flash because Deathstroke tripped him.....I'm like really dude? You're using PIS as a reason why Spider-Man can beat Flash when that would never happen? lol Then he tried telling me "Spidey-Sense" would tell him when Flash is around but I just asked him is Spidey-Sense lightspeed? Curious lolPre-52 his plan for Wonder Woman was utter garbage, writer nerfed flash and Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman fought for 1000 years in Asgard along side superman and DC thor. In endgame(written by scott snyder) batman pulled out lasso of lies crafted by Hephaestus which he bought from some magic black market. Lasso made her believe what batman wanted. It wasn't character specific weakness, it would have worked on anyone.Yeah lol I hear ya. But yeah of course there's also the good old Justice Buster haha. That suit was awesome, I remember some people felt it was bs against GL and Flash.
