i wrote a bunch of words in that first post that explains everything. this is a list based on the past 4 months minus FINAL ROUND (still waiting for that list). you are higher then riu48 because he has only been in 2 tournaments while you have been to multiple ones.

Chrig G places high in every tournament hes in, including ones with Reo and Cd jr see APEX.

I understand that why on the list I'm above riu48. I'm just saying that in all honesty, Riu48 is better than 95% of the MK player base.

I think Chris G is a boss. And even though he isn't a MK die hard, he's more than legit. IMO, Chris G belongs where he is on this list. He shows up to a ton of MK tournaments and outside Final Found, always gets top 8 at least.

Why don't we take the sum of points and divide it by the number of tournaments the player has gone to. That way top players actually get penalized for not placing consistently, and other players don't get ranked above top 8 placers just because they went to more tournaments.

Just a thought.

They don't. This is just an effort to get a better rankings than what the NFG has. No matter how much you try, you cannot make these lists anything but arbitrary. Nevertheless, we need an official TYM rankings list.

All I care to know is how and why are these lists and NFG Rankings event relevant? Why is it crucial to have a list?

Is a 'list' an integral part for a Tournament to be ran successfully, that determines major seeding for upcoming Tournaments?

If not, forget the list.

If people really want a list, I propose, forget everything, and start fresh from EVO2k12. A list should be gathered annually.

Here's a rough formula for Ranking.

Each Major should be a base 100 points, just for showing up.

Additional points should be added by dividing the # of entrants by 1/2.

Additional 2 or 5 points should be added to ALL entrants based on the # of top 16 placed players in attendance.

Minors should be base 50 points, apply the above.

Example:

CEO:

Base: 100
Entrants: 80
Entrants Points: 40
Top 16 players in attendance: 5
Additional points given to all players: 10 or 25

Top 8 placements should get: 80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10

You need a universal formula. Someone mess around with this, I gotta dip.

guys do not take this list so personal because as dancock said this is a ranking system and in a ranking system higher rank does not always mean better player this ranking system is for us in the community to be rank based on our performace on tounament.

DanCock man to this date our first offline tourney it is still the most fun i ever had in a tourney even when there were only like 20-30 players
