Question If Kabal were banned

Sure: 2 times EVO chapm forking outrageous misinformation about Kabal and everyone is like "great points, you're right - because youre the champ (and because we hate Kabal)". And it's funny like some well known players (PL included) upplay Kabal: my all time favorite is "Kabal has no even much-ups". Oh and hilarious "it's no big deal for Kabal mainers": did it even crossed your mind that one can't simply hop over to an another character and be proficient with it as with his/her main, which was trained for whole 2 years?

Keep refusing to learn Kabal much-up, while DJT exposed a crapload of Kabal's weaknesses, because "we want an easy way out": #stayfreemkc

For the record, I'd quit MK9 if Kabal is banned and surprisingly not because Kabal is the "S++++++++++" tier and only character with which I can win with: Kabal is like the only character, which interest me mechanics and creative potential wise from the whole roster and if he's gone - there isn't much interest for me in the game any more. And being a tourney player I won't waste my time with a banned character.

I don't think Kabal should be banned. I feel that hes a technical character that rewards a person who is will to put their time into him. I think banning him would be like taking all that time away from the Kabal players and just saying, "Well bummer, pick Kenshi or Cyrax, Lao, Sonya, etc." It okay to have a dominate character in the game, every fighting game does. Also, its not like every other person is a Kabal player, or their execustion with Kabal is amazing, but that's just me....

I'll explain to you how big the difference is. Since Kabal has no even match-ups and no losing match-ups, you are forced to be at disadvantage every single time you play him. Yeah he is beatable, every character in every fighting game is beatable, whether the match-up be 5-5 or 9-1. But still Kabal has no even match-ups and no losing match-ups, that means if you beat him you beat him when you were at a disadvantage. You are forced to ALWAYS be at a disadvantage when playing Kabal except if you mirror him.

After Kabal is banned, Kenshi will have like seven or eight characters that go 5-5 with him. That means you have the choice to select many different characters to put yourself in an even situation. With Kabal, you don't have the choice to put yourself in an even situation, you always have to put yourself at disadvantage no matter what.

Now do you understand the difference? lol

I say ban him. He is an interesting challenge, but he is too good. Then again we could not get to to see if Sonya really goes 5/5 with Kabal lol.
Either way he is a discouraging aspect and I'm dead tired of watching Kabal vs Kung Lao.
Honestly if we ban him we will see more Sonya's in my opinion. The game would be very roulette since people will probably have a counter for Sonya and Kenshi. It might be a counter pick fest.

After VXG (a.k.a Clash of the Kabals) there will probably not be another big money tournament, so the only reason to play in tournaments is for fun.

If you ask the top Kabal players and they are OK with it, I don't see why not. I don't think it will effect the games lifespan or turnout either way though.

No I just got back from the gym not that long ago so I'm fine lol. It just doesn't seem like you comprehend that Kabal is 10x more broken than Kenshi so I'm just trying to explain to you. You keep saying that Kenshi=Kabal but he doesn't

Ok ban Kabal only to make another character that much more dominant. If kabal goes then Freddy/Kenshi takes over. If you took out the top 4/5 characters which include Kabal Kenshi Freddy and Cyrax then this game would prolly be really really balanced.

Are you joking right now or are you being serious? Kung Lao loses to Cage 4-6, loses to Kitana 4-6, and loses to Cyrax 4-6. Than Kung Lao goes 5-5 with Sektor, 5-5 with Sonya, 5-5 with Skarlet, and 5-5 with Ermac. There are plenty of characters that can handle Kung Lao

See i like the idea, but i also line fighting Kabal. Imo every character, EVERY character, has an answer for him. It may not be the easiest thing to perform, but it's possible. Kano can duck iagbs with the start up animation for knives, Stryker doesn't totally lose the zoning war, Sheeva's got that dirt only 5 people know about. All that good stuff. Now... Kenshi on the other hand, while having more losing matchups, completely dominates certain characters 100%. I would rather ban him, and make it so that every single character has a shot vs banning Kabal which is essentially allowing everyone that could win, an easier chance to win.

Just my 2 cents. I'll continue playing either way because nothing satisfies my crave for salt like playing MK.
