Just to throw this out there, this technically could be him trolling and being purposely vague. As in, “that ship flew” meaning he already did the VA for it awhile ago. I mean, it’d be right on par with Boon level trolling so just keep that in mind!

JK Simmons and John Cena have been in the credits since the game came out. Antony Starr isn’t. He’s not trolling.

I haven't gotten to try Homelander yet but here's a few noteworthy things i got from a friend
  • Fly into Instant Overheads is super strong and unreactable
  • F4 is an unreactable but unsafe Low, also seems tough to hitconfirm
  • Every command dash option except the kick (which is plus) is super unsafe on block/whiff
  • D1 is standard

So is it just me or is there something weird going on with him gravity-wise? My usual BnBs don't work against him because it seems like he falls faster

His animation is all jank , at least in mkx the hover characters like spectral just had a little more height added to kombos , this is different the game keeps trying to correct him to a hover position , its hurting my eyes lol

They really need to fix a lot of the bugs with Homelander, but the main thing that is annoying to me personally is the constant camera shaking when you are juggling him or getting juggled as him. It looks so terrible and it’s something that is honestly inexcusable. Like, how did they not notice this when testing?

So... I'm going to just say, there is some ridiculously absurd tech with Homelander if you have the execution for it. It's only a matter of time before someone brings it out on the big stage. This character is gonna be the GOAT soon.

Anyone know if this is the optimal combo path for corner carry WITHOUT using resources? Made a quick clip because I've been using this below when saving resources but heard there might be something a slight more damaging? But I can't figure out what it could be.

This looks just about right, if you get CH B3 you can also get a dash in before the S21, other than that you'd need to spend Kameo and/or somehow use the air grab that lets you move around during the animation (i forget the input)

Edit: This Azeez clip is a good example

Ahhh I see, there's an instant Air 1 in the beginning of the combo right before the air dash 1 that leads into the next string. Now it makes sense I was losing my mind haha. Thanks.

So right now, 50% of people are saying Homelander is broke, and the other 50% are saying that he's all gimmicks and won't be good when the glitches are fixed. Thoughts? :coffee:

He's very good but has a very formulaic approach. Kinda like Tanya-Goro in that sense. You wait for the low, then block the 2 overhead hits and poke him. Then either grab or mid. If he wants to zone, you can try to jump the lasers. That's it. Thing is: IF he lands one of those lows or the grab into Janet from fullscreen (this is fucking disgusting, btw), you are eating 43% meterless every single time. He is too safe on everything to justify the amount of damage he does, that's why I think he is good (but not BROKEN even though he has nasty shit).

Well, count me as someone who went from "he's going to be a GOAT" to "man there's literally no reason to play him now". When the "glitches are fixed". Sure. The "glitches".

I'm talking more about using two bars for his BnBs and his pressure being nerfed now. Having the meterless and pressure options was part of what was going to make him good/unique alongside everything else. Now the BnBs require kameo to do any damage at all times and he doesn't have the strengths some of the other characters have to get pressure nerfs and be a low damage kameo dependent high meter character. The dream is dead. He's done. Just play Peacemaker.
