I am kinda thinking exactly the same. Also the changes to the way dust functions and the wall splat/break all sound pretty exciting to me (other people are of different opinion it seems). I can’t wait to try it! Venom trailer tho asap pls.

accent core is about to get fanmade ggpo, hopefully it will be playable next year

I wanna see more of the roster, but Millia and Nagoriyuki look great!

Roster in general looks pretty nice actually. I've never gotten around to playing any of the GG's seriously just very casually so I'd like to give it a legit shot.

Nagoriyuki looks really good, and his style fits very well in Guilty Gear. I still have hopes for some characters making it to the base roster lol

Character looks super cool. I love, love, love the looks and character designs of GG. Never really got into playing it, but I always kind of wish I'd get swept up into GG.

I'm super on the fence about the game as a whole though. I'm going to be real interested in what happens once it gets out there and people start playing. I hope it's good and plays well.

You are right, in that they are "simplifying" some things (to use the term easily..."simplify" is subjective and debatable). Whether or not the changes are "good things", then I suppose we'll wait and see.

I personally, don't care. Unless some major setback or apocalypse or something happens, I plan to go hard into GGS. I love GG (tbh, I'm a late fan, didn't get into it til 2017) and the only change so far in GGS that has irked me a bit is the change to airdashing. The rest are all things I don't mind. Even the auto-tech. Regardless, I'll just adapt as necessary.

edit:
on a non-mechanical note, i do not like the new body looks for some characters. But...I'll have to get used to it.

But it looks like this game is going the SFV route with a small base roster and tons of DLC later.

Game launches on April 2021.

Season pass confirmed (5 characters). I'm sure they'll reveal them before launch, so I'll wait for that before buying :3

Not sure I'm quite as sold on this char as most others, but that's only because GG has like the very best of the best character designs around. Does look a bit like someone I'd play.

Anji is also a char I'm interested to see what they do with.

Taking a wait and see approach to the game overall, but it sure is pretty.

Nobody played the Beta here? I've seen elsewhere that the netcode was godlike and it's probably one of the best online experiences in a fighting game ever. However, the game has been delayed to June. Maybe they're going to improve/polish some features? The lobby system was heavily critized for being a gigantic pile of trash.

I did. We might even get a second beta because of the delay. Pretty much everything you said is true, it’s quite fun overall.

Cool! I can't wait. But I'm on PC, so I don't think there's gonna be Beta for us. I've enjoyed all the footage I saw, the consensus seems to be that it plays really good.

I played, got a little more time with early access.
Game feels great. Matches are short due to high damage, which makes every decision count. Lots of offensive and defensive options THAT WORK AND MAKE SENSE, unlike some other fighting games. Aside from the diapers lobby system, the online play was really good. Every match was playable to flawless, and getting a match was quick (outside of lobbies).
all in all, very promising

Will they show some DLC characters?

People seem to be confused, but since this is after launch day... I'm sure they'll be showing DLC characters. What is the point of making exhibitions for characters people are already playing? (some even since the first Beta)
